"UGH, I STILL dont understand why I have to go to Patridge High!" I whined and mewled to my mother who looked as exasperated as my cousin. I crossed my arms and huffed back to my seat.
Its not that I don't like Patridge High, in fact it sounds fun going there. I mean, from what I heard from my cousin since she goes to Patridge High—All the activities, parties and stuff actually sounded pretty cool.
Except for the fact that there are snobby rick kids, bitches, bullies and high school drama— and that is what I'm avoiding. That is why I preferred to be home schooled, I like it this way.
"Isay, you have to get a life. Have fun, you know? Go be normal." Ceej teased, sarcasm drips from her words.
I ignored her jab and rolled my eyes instead. Ceej is the only cousin I know and grew up with, also, she's my best friend. Okay, who am I shitting? Truth be told she's my only friend.
So being her my best friend, she thought that it would be a grand idea to tell my parents to enroll me at her school. Oh how wrong she is.
"Seriously honey, you're 17 and you're still home schooled. You need to get out there. Make some memories sweetheart." My mother said softly as she sat down beside me.
Seriously, do they want me to get out of the house that much? Am I that bad of an introvert?
"So. . . " My mother paused, giving me a loving look. "What do you say honey?" She gently squeezes my hand, her blue eyes pleading me to say yes.
I looked at the both of them grudgingly right before rolling my eyes and sighing in defeat. "Sure. Whatever."
Ceej squealed while jumping up and down before hugging me. Ugh. What's with the enthusiasm? It's not like I don't have a life. I go out too you know.
When? When you get a haircut? My subconscious has her mocking face while saying that.
"We're going to have so much fun Isay, I can feel it!" Ceej shrieked and hugged me again for the second time.
"I'm so glad you said yes honey." My mom smiled her heartwarming smile. "I'll just go down and break the news to your father. He's been wanting to enroll you to regular school eversince you were ten, but he knew you liked home schooling that's why he just shrugged the idea off. But thanks to Ceej, convincing us why we should push you to enroll at Patridge High and I think its for your best honey." She hugged me again and winked at Ceej—Ceej winked back. Christ. What kind of sorcery is this?
"Okay, bye dears, see you later." The way she said it made my descision look like a huge deal.
Seriously, what is with them? Just cause I prefer to stay at my home doesn't mean I'm not gonna get a life or something.
And besides, did my mom forget my, um, my condition. I frowned as I assimulate the thought.
I sure hope all things go well.
I waited for my mom to get out of my room before glaring at Ceej.
"So. Ceej Collins, since you're the one to blame. . . " I drifted off, my hands on my hips and my eyes narrowed accusingly at her. "You're responsible of me. Now tell me about Patridge High." I made airquotes as I said the word Patridge High so I can express my feeling of annoyance towards all of this.
Ceej chuckled and pointed her finger at me before talking. "Responsible of you? What are you a twelve year old girl?" She teased. "First, you should thank me, you'll finally be nor—" but before she can continue blabbing about me being normal and how I should be thanking her, I threw a pillow at her faced and laughed.
