This prompt just seemed like the way Jay would act if he was sick enough.
Prompt: 'How the mighty have fallen!' 'It's a dropped chocolate bar. Stop being dramatic.'
Word count: 282 (wow, very short)You groaned. Why did they have to leave you to take care of the sick Lightning ninja? Normally you wouldn't mind being left behind with him; however when he was sick with a high fever he started acting very strangely. It was starting to get on your nerves.
You were in the kitchen, making him some chicken broth. Or at the very least, trying to. You recently learned that when sick, he acted quite childishly, or dramatic, or- ugh, you just didn't have the word for it.
'Hey, (Y/N)!' You sighed, turning to see him sitting at the table.
'What is it, Jay? Are you feeling better?' You asked hopefully.
'Look, see how the mighty have fallen!' He pointed at a bar of chocolate on the floor, at which you sighed again.
'Jay, it's a dropped chocolate bar. Stop being dramatic.' You set down a bowl of broth in front of him. 'Now come on, drink up. You're supposed to be getting better.'
While he ate, you started on the dishes. When he finished, you insisted that he should go lie down and take a nap. Of course he protested a lot, but you stood your ground. At last he complied...on one condition: you had to keep him company.
You rolled your eyes, but gave in. If there was no other way to get him to nap, then so be it.
He lay down on the couch with his head in your lap; he wouldn't go to sleep any other way. You combed you fingers through his hair gently. You were surprised at how soft and fluffy it was. You hummed a lullaby softly, as he drifted off to sleep.
Still working out how to improve this. I might still edit later on.
