All the girls turn their heads to look at me. Most look shocked but a few glare at me. I honestly wonder why they chose me, there are better looking girls. But at the same time I'm super excited because I am finally out of here and this is my chance to find my family.
Ms. Riley scowls and looks at the woman. "Perfect. Good riddance." She says.
The woman responds, "Can we please sign the papers and leave?" Ms. Riley scowls but she walks off to her office.
I slowly walk to the couple while they stare at me with happiness in their eyes.
When I walk up to them, the woman looks at me and smiles. "I'm Marcy Kingston and this is my husband Ryan Kingston and our son Shane Kingston. We are your new family." She says.
"I'm Sydney. Sydney Kirey." I say. "Well Sydney, let's sign those papers and we'll be off." Marcy responded. Marcy hooks her arm with mine and we walk in the direction Ms.Riley walked. We open the door and sit down.
Ms.Riley hands Marcy and Ryan some papers and they start talking about the adoption process. I look around the room to see Shane looking at me. I quickly look away to find myself blushing.
When Marcy and Ryan are done signing papers, we all stand up to leave. When I walk through the doors of the orphanage, I realize I'm finally free and I can have a happy life.
I follow Marcy to the car and get in. The entire drive there, everybody is silent. I look out the window to see us arriving at a mansion. It's not as big as the orphanage but it's still pretty big. I look at Marcy with a shocked expression. She laughs and says, "Welcome to your new home"
I can't believe this is my new home. How rich are these people?! I wonder what my room looks like. Are they going to be nice? I mean they seem nice now but I don't know. So many questions that need to be answered. But the main question is: Can these people cook? I mean I don't want to starve.
We get out the car and walk up the front steps to the mansion. Ryan opens the door and I walk inside. The inside reminds me of the orphanage except everything is gold and white. I think I died and went to heaven. This. Is. Awesome!!
Marcy leads me up the stairs. We walk down the hallway and stop in front of a door.
"This is your new room" Marcy says. She opens the door and guides me in. There is a flat screen tv on one wall and on the other wall there is a bed covered in sky blue sheets. There is a desk next to the bed and a walk in closet. I run and jump on the bed. Its so soft! It feels like a fluffy cloud.
I hear a laugh and look at the doorway to see Marcy laughing at me. She comes to the bed and sits. She turns on the tv and pretty soon I fell my eyes getting heavier and I fall asleep.
