"By the Goddess Divine, who in the world would be banging on our door at this time of night? The triple lunar eclipse has been over for at least 3 hours. There are no more celebrations." the monk shuffles faster to the door of the monastery. "I'm coming, I'm coming hold your horses." The pounding stops as he gets close and by the time he opens the door he sees no one there. Looking down the monk notices a small wrapped bundle. Lifting it up he checks it over before opening it. Surprise shows on his face as he sees the baby inside.

The clamor steadily increases outside the head monk's door. Suddenly the door opens and a couple monks rush in. "Father Dermot, we can't find Heath." Father Dermot looks at them before raising his hand and sighing "What do you mean you can't find him? He is four years old. It is not like he can just disappear." Suddenly one of the sisters runs in and says, "We found him he was in the south tower in the attic." Everyone sighs in relief. "What was he doing in the south tower?" Father Dermot asks. "He was eating cookies." The sister says. Everyone looked at each with the same thought... Where did he get cookies?

Father Dermot and Heath were walking to the village when Heath looked up and asked. "Why do I have to do this?" Father Dermot looks at him and smiles. "Everyone is tested when they turn 10. It is a Planetary law, this way if something happens they have a record of what everyone is capable of." Heath looks down and kicks a stone on the path. "Oh, ok." Coming to the governmental building on the island they enter through a door and walk up to the front desk. Father Dermot does most of the talking and soon they are ushered into a strange room. The examiner comes up and speaks softly. "Ok young man first, Happy Birthday. We will be testing you for any powers you might have. Don't worry if you don't have any, there are still plenty of future possibilities for you. Now all you need to do is walk over to the orb and place both your hands on it. Then close your eyes and relax." Heath nods and walks over to the orb. Placing his hand on the orb there is a bright flash.

Location: Arma, Sentinel Islands, Xaos Reigns

Date: Stoic 1, 1538

I snapped awake from the dream of that day. With perfect timing the transport pilot announced that we were beginning our descent. I rub the sleep from my eyes and look out the window. From the window, Xaos Reigns looks massive below the shuttle as it continues the winding descent. There was a tram system running through, connecting every ring of the island and making it look like a spider had weaved its web over the entirety of the university. Even the differences in each ring could be seen; the size and grade of every building. The University grounds came into view as we get closer, the tall prestigious buildings standing proudly in the middle of this island state. The shuttle sets down on the landing pad in the central park.

I wait until the other people had gotten off the transport before I step off the shuttle onto the grounds of Xaos Reign for the first time. Something about this university had drawn me to it. The rush of life from around me was like a breath of fresh air. The monks at the monastery always moved slowly and purposefully. Being stuck there for the past eighteen years was a good chapter in my life although it was boring. The night after the triple lunar eclipse, I was dropped off on the doorstep of the monastery. The monks taught me right, teaching me everything they knew and then some. Including secrets that no one knew outside the monastery. A voice brought me out of my ruminations.
