Third Person POV:
It was the next day, which meant another day of dragon training. Today's lesson they were going up against a Deadly Nadder. The only thing different about today was that Talia participated. She was running alongside Astrid, trying to avoid the Nadder in the maze Gobber had set up. While that was going on Hiccup was trying get more information form Gobber, who was on top of the arena overlooking everything.
"Hey, you know, I just happened to notice the book had nothing on Night Furies. Is there another book? Or a sequel? Maybe a little Night Fury pamphlet?" he asked.
Then the Nadder had fired at him causing the axe his was holding to burn off.
"WHOA!" he shouted.
"Focus, Hiccup! You're not even trying!" Gobber shouted at him.
The Nadder chased him until it got on top of the maze to get a better.
"Today is all about attack! Nadders are quick and light on their feet! Your job is to be quicker and lighter!" Goober said.
Then the Nadder had spotted Fishlegs and shot spikes at him, fortunately he used his shield.
"AAAAAH! I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!" Fishlegs shouts at Gobber.
"No kidding, it my first day here and I'm already this so close to death. This is ridiculous!" Talia agreed.
"Look for its blind spot. Every dragon has one. Find it, hide in it, and strike!" Gobber continued.
The twins turned a corner and were face to face with the Nadder. They stood still but Ruffnut smelled Tuffnut, and it wasn't pleasant.
"Ugh! Do you ever bathe?" she asked him.
"If you don't like it, then just get your own blind spot!" he argued.
"How about I give you one?!" she replied.
Then the Nadder blasts at them.
"Blind spot, yes. Deaf spot? Not so much. Heh, heh, heh." Gobber said laughing a little bit.
When Hiccup got back to where Gobber was he continued his questions.
"Hey, so how would one sneak up on a Night Fury?" he asked.
"No one's ever met one and lived to tell the tale. NOW, GET IN THERE!" Gobber shouted at him.
"I know, I know, but hypothetically—" Hiccup said but Astrid cut him off.
"Hiccup!" Astrid said.
He turns to see her, Talia, and Snotlout on their knee.
"Get down!" she continued.
He got down next to Talia and waited for their next move. Astrid looked to see if the Nadder was there and it was. When it looked away, she and Snotlout tumbled to the other side. Talia shook her head at them and just quietly walked after them. Hiccup however tumbled like the others, the but the weight of his shield brought him. Causing the Nadder to notice him, it bit down at him and got on top of the maze. The Nadder got down and stood in front of Talia, Astrid, and Snotlout.
"Watch out, babes. I'll take care of this." Snotlout said pushing Talia and Astrid to the side.
"Hey!" Astrid said.
He throws his hammer at the Nadder, and he misses. The girls look at him.
"The sun was in my eyes! What do you want me to do, block out the sun? I could do that, but I don't have time right now!" Snotlout tried to convince them.
The Nadder chases after them knocking down the parts of the maze.
Snotlout managed to get away, but the Nadder was still chasing the girls destroying the maze.
"They probably take the daytime off. You know, like a cat. Has anyone ever seen one napping?" Hiccup asked Gobber, still trying to information.
"Hiccup!" Gobber shouted at him.
Talia jump up on top of the maze going from wall to wall, with the Nadder still behind.
"Talia!" Astrid shouted trying to get to her.
When Talia got on top of a collapsing wall, jumps off and fell right onto Hiccup.
"Hiccup!" she shouts get his attention.
They both land on the ground with Talia on top of Hiccup.
"Oooh! Love on the battlefield!" Tuffnut shouts.
"She could do better." Ruffnut said.
With both of Talia and Hiccup struggling to get up, the Nadder started to get close.
"Just... let me... why don't you..." Hiccup said trying to help her up.
But Talia was focused on finding her sword before the Nadder comes. But when she sees the Nadder coming toward them, she starts to panic.
"Astrid!" she shouted.
Just as she did Astrid came and hit the Nadder in the face making it cower away.
"Well done, Astrid." Gobber told her.
Astrid helped Talia up and check to see if was okay.
"Are you okay?" she asked her, Talia nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She replied.
Then Astrid looked at Hiccup, who was still on the ground.
"Is this some kind of a joke to you?!" she told him.
"Astrid, it's not his fault I had lost my sword—" Talia said but was cut off.
"Talia, he almost got you kill!" Astrid shout before looking back at Hiccup.
"Our parents' war is about to become ours! Figure out which side you're on." Astrid told him before walking out.
Everyone else followed her, to where it was just Talia and Hiccup. Talia walked up to him and offered a hand. He looked at her and then took it.
"Thanks" he said when he was up.
"Not a problem." she replied
"So, I was about to head to the cove, I don't know if you wanted to come" he asked scratching his head.
"I may just have to meet you there, I was going to help Astrid cool down a bit." She replied.
"Okay I'll meet up there then." he said.
She nodded and headed out the arena, then Hiccup started walking to the cove.
