I found a box full of diaries. Maybe we could find what they were always so worried about. We went back to my house, put our stuff by the door and took the box into the living room. All the diaries said Macy on the front. There were different types of diaries in different colors, designs and sizes. I got half and Amber got the other half of the diaries. I opened the first on and started reading. I found out Macy is George's sister. It was girl with the long, straight, brown hair, and hazel eyes, that ran away with Oscar. The first few diaries were boring, just about her daily life. She played soccer and I almost guessed her age right. I did the math and when she left she was 19. George is ten years older. So Macy was 24 and George was 34 at the time.
After reading a few diaries, I picked up a black diary. On the front it read Macy and "Do not read" underneath, in blue marker. It was from about a year before they left. I opened it and started reading. The first few pages were boring, about school and stuff like that. A few pages in it started getting weird. It was talking about how Macy found out something. She didn't say what it was. I ripped out the page out and put it aside.
Amber and I kept going through the diaries. Amber found a page in one of them about her crazy Uncle Thomas and what he looked like. She ripped it out and put it with the other page. I found a page about her uncle Thomas. After a while we found a pile of pages.
"Ok so... they left because of Thomas...?" Amber asked me.
"Yeah, I guess," I replied looking over the papers again "They hide him in barn?... from the government and left...?"
"We have to go to this barn..." Amber said snatching one of the page from me. "It's not that far away."
"Kind of is... but... What are we gonna do then?" I asked, not looking away from the papers.
"Figure out what he did!" Amber says, starting to put the papers in a neat pile. "We can go in the morning."
