After the 10th day, i silently pack up at 3 a.m., opening his window, throwing my duffle-bag down to the ground. I tiptoe over to Robbie, putting a sticky note, saying that i went home, onto his face. I climb out the window, onto a tree branch, and down to the ground. I sighed, picking up my duffle-bag, starting the 4 minute walk to my house.
10 days. 10 days since her funeral, 10 days since i've seen my father, and 10 days since i've slept in my own bed, and not Robin's. As i walked down the block, rhymes start to come to my head.
'Everyone and Everything around me is changing. Everyone except me. I'm staying the same as if i was nothing. I don't sing my song, i bleed them, i don't write unless i mean them. Without cold, snow is just rain, without my voice it's all the same.'
As i approched my house, i feel my palms start sweating, and my heart races. I imagine all the different ways my father could be. Hopefully, he's just sad, but still able to go to work and take care of me.
'It's okay, we're just scared. It's okay, we're just scared.'
I climb the gutter, up to my window. I slide it open, throwing in my dirty clothes first, then climbing in. Don't make a sound, he might be asleep, I think. I decide to lay down to sleep. I really don't need to sleep, but.....whatever.
'I don't really need to sleep much longer, but the longer I sleep, the slower my heart beats. There's fire on my floor telling me to sleep some more. Cry a little louder if you know what i mean.'
CREAK! I freeze. My foot had stepped on a creaky board. I hear a groan from the next room over. "Bitch, who the--" I hear my fathers voice say, before my door opens. A very drunken and distressed father walks into my room. "When....why......bitch." he mutters, almost dropping a mostly full beer bottle on my carpet. "Dad, I just got--" SPLASH! CRASH! AHHHH!
I squat down, covering my head, trying to avoid glass and beer. He'd thrown the beer bottle at my head, but luckly i moved before it hit me.
"Dad, what are you doing?!" I ask, slowly rising. "IT'S YOU'RE FAULT SHE'S GONE!" he screamed, kicking my legs out from under me. "SHE'S DEAD 'CAUSE OF YOU!" he screamed, kicking me in the stomach. He kept kicking me, over and over. "Dad, STOP!" I screamed through tears and coughs.
Everything goes black.....
