"Are you almost done?"

"Almost," I answered as I poured the sprinkles on top of the frozen yogurt. I turned around to see Justin waiting at the counter to pay. I hurried over to him and sat down the bowl I had made.

"Interesting choices," he said as he looked at mine.

"Yours as well," I said eyeing his. I instantly noticed that he used chocolate frozen yogurt and I was so happy. I looked over as the worker came over to the cash register. I quickly realized it was Rachel.

"Haven't see you two in a while," she said as she began punching buttons into the register. "Shouldn't you be in school?"

"We have...a day off," said Justin as he glanced over at me with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good," said Rachel. I was pretty sure she was about five years older than us. I vaguely remember seeing her around school when we were younger. She had been working at the frozen yogurt place for a long time now and we had been frequents over the summer. It became a bad habit. "Your total is $10.18."

Justin passed a few bills to Rachel. The cash register popped open and Rachel made his change. Justin shoved it in his pocket. We both picked up our frozen yogurt cups.

"Enjoy," said Rachel.

"Thanks," we both said. We made our way over to the table in the back corner. We sat across from each other.

"Okay, what do you got?" asked Justin.

"Plain vanilla," I said. "Because you're boring." He rolled his eyes and I kept going. "Strawberries, bananas, and sprinkles because you needed something that tasted good."

Justin laughed, "Fair enough."

"And you?" I asked.

"Chocolate," said Justin as he looked down at the bowl. "Of course, chocolate chips and cookie dough because you have a problem with chocolate."

"Fair enough," I said as we traded bowls. I grabbed the spoon and started on the frozen yogurt. I remembered why we became obsessed with this place.

"This is not bad," said Justin. "The sprinkles are questionable, but I can live with it..."

"This would be better with chocolate syrup," I stated with a shrug.

"They were all out," said Justin.

"Of course, they were," I said. We both ate our frozen yogurt and talked about anything and everything. After we were both done we ended up walking past a few shops on our way out.

"I missed this," I said. I glanced over at Justin as we walked. His eyes were already on me. "I feel like we don't do fun things anymore. Ever since you..."

"Ever since what?" asked Justin.

"Nothing," I said quickly shaking my head. I couldn't believe I almost said it. Things have been awkward enough without me bringing up that things have changed since he told me he was dating Nora. It was weird though. Everything seemed just normal over the summer when they were dating. Nothing changed until he told me, and Nora woke up. Maybe it was all that drama of her not remembering, but maybe it was just me.

"Are you sure it's nothing?" he asked carefully. I looked over at him. He had stopped walking and was just staring at me. I stopped and turned around to face him.

"I'm sure," I said.

"Hayley, you can tell me anything," he said. I couldn't though. I could tell him everything but this. How could I tell him that him lying the whole summer about having a girlfriend didn't just hurt me because he lied. It hurt me because he was with someone else that wasn't me.
