"Wake up, you fucking crybaby."
"Dude, just five more minutes." I grumbled and turned around, stuffing my face into the duvet.
"You kicked me off my OWN bed at 7am and now you're saying you want five more minutes?" He growled.
"You sound like a rabid wolf." I muttered. I felt myself being picked up. "EEEK"
I opened my eyes and saw Chan had picked me up bridal style. He carried me to the bathroom and put me down.
"Get ready. You're meeting the King. I got you an outfit on the counter." He said nonchalantly. He closed the door after he left the room, leaving me standing there in awe.
"Hah! Incredible." I scoffed and started muttering: "Who does he think he is? Lifting me into the bathroom, hm?"

"Holy shit..." I said to Chan, observing my outfit in the mirror.

It felt so expensive. The material felt luxurious on my skin and the dress hugged my curves perfectly (as much as it could; it had an extremely short skirt).
"Do assistants get to wear shit like this?" I asked.
"Only the ones I think could own it," He winked.
"Fuckboy." I snapped.
"Uh, what was that?" He cocked an eyebrow. I averted my gaze, intimidated. He sure knew how to wind me up.
"Did you not hear me?" He came closer.
"I'm afraid I need hearing aids." I retorted, moving closer too.
"Oh? Should I check your ears for you?" He said, so close that his warm breath was hitting my neck.
"No thanks." I replied, not backing down.
"Well, I..." He started.
"OH MR BANG CHAN!" An American accent called and knocked on the door, cutting Chan off. He moved away and opened the door, which meant I could finally BREATHE.
"Hey, Hyunjin." Chan smiled and let him come in.
"Hey! Oh, Y/N, you look nice!" Hyunjin smiled brightly.
"Thanks, you too." I smiled at the prince-like boy.
"So, here's the plan." Chan said in a serious tone. "We need to go down to the throne room where my dad is. When we get to the stairs, we need to bow down on both knees and then stay sat like that until he's done talking."
"When he's done, we bow again, stand up, bow 90 degrees and then walk away when he shakes his hand as a signal of dismissal." Hyunjin added.
"Okay." I nodded. "What exactly is my alibi, though?"
"I needed an assistant to help me with training to become king. He let me choose one. Now, originally,  I wasn't going to go through with it, but it ended up being a handy way to disguise you." Chan smiled slightly.
"What if he asks me a question directly?" I asked.
"He hasn't asked me anything, so whatever he asks you, just improvise on the spot." He replied. "You got this!"
"Thanks." I shuddered, wondering what his father would be like.

"Ready?" Chan asked.
"Ready." I said firmly. We walked through the tall double doors and emerged into the huge hall: there was a red and gold carpet underneath us, pillars surrounding the aisle and at the very bottom was a seemingly small man sitting on a throne with a crown on his head. We got to the front and got on our knees.
"Prince Chan, Prince Hyunjin. Pleasure to see you two in royal attire." The King said in a gruff, stone-cold voice. He turned his gaze to me. "And I see you've brought a visitor."
"Your majesty, this is my assistant Y/N. Remember when you requested I got one?" Chan introduced.
"Ah, of course." He looked at me, face blank.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesty." I bowed my head further.
"Where do you come from?" He asked. As he kept on asking questions about me, I had to make up a prestigious past to sound good, but I took the opportunity to observe his appearance for any weaknesses: the man was built like a weightlifter, although short, with a square jawline and piercing eyes. It seemed he never stopped frowning, as if the Sun was constantly blaring into his eyes.
"Hm..." He mumbled after receiving the information I made up for him. "You sound adequate. Dismissed." We all stood up and bowed again before walking away. As soon as we left the throne room, we all sighed out in relief.
"That was tense," Hyunjin said. "He was boring holes into your chest. Bit gross, but okay."
"You should be careful around him if you're gonna stick around," Chan stroked your arm gently after he saw your disturbed expression. "He's known to... not know personal space as a necessity, especially with girls."
"Damn. You should've told me your dad was a predator," I snapped as I followed them to wherever we were going.
"Well, it's not my fault you look hot." Chan replied simply. I snarled. He stopped dead in his tracks and leaned over to my ear. "By the way, might want to be careful: I saw your panties when you were kneeled down." He backed away and smirked at me before walking off with Hyunjin, leaving me open-mouthed with shock. I ran to catch up to them, still flustered over Bang Chan's fucking nerve.

"When is my room gonna be ready?" I groaned, triggered that I had to spend another night in Chan's room.
"Be patient," he snapped, making the bed. "I don't know. The secretaries said they were taking care of it but my dad's trying to get his bathroom renovated, so they're probably going to do that first."
"Fuck..." I groaned again.
"Grow up," Chan scoffed. "Trust me, I don't want to share with you either. You're cute, but a pain in the ass." I opened my mouth to retort, but decided to leave it because I was turning slightly red at the "you're cute" part. I hated to admit it, but Chan was attractive as fuck: the way his blonde hair flopped over his forehead looked so effortless, styled like a 90s heartthrob, and his eyes sparkled like they contained the whole galaxy's stars. I often found myself staring at his plump lips and, even though we only met yesterday, there was something about him that felt heartwarming, like a comforting undertone.
He reminded me of a Koala.
"Are you okay?" Chan asked after a few moments of silence.
"Huh? Yeah, why?" I replied, confused slightly.
"You're normally not that quiet," he smirked slightly.
"Yeah, I'm good." I laughed slightly.
"You sure?" He asked again. His eyes were glazed over with compassion.
"Yeah, really. Thanks, though!" I smiled brightly, and he smiled back. We continued doing the bed while having small talk about favourite foods.

"No! McDonald's is ONE HUNDRED TIMES better than Burger King!" I exclaimed.
"Are you kidding? Burger King is the King of Burgers," Chan retorted. "I should know: I'm a King!"
"Uh, you're actually a Prince?" I said, in a "duh" tone. "And yes, as a King, you should agree that McDonald's fries are THE FUCKING BOMB."
"They taste like literal pure fat!" Chan said passionately. "At least Burger King doesn't dish out diabetes."
"Woah, you take that back!" I slammed my hands on the desk and stood up.
"What the fuck are you two arguing about?!" Hyunjin burst into the room, shouting angrily, causing short Chan and I to cower under the tall boy's intimidating stare.
"Hyunjin! Help me out here: McDonald's or Burger King?" I asked desperately.
"Is that even a question? Burger King!" Hyunjin replied.
"FUCK ALL OF YOU!" I groaned. Chan laughed in victory and high-fived Hyunjin.
"ANYWAY, while you two were arguing about fast food, I came up with a plan!" Hyunjin giggled.
"Ooh! Let's hear it." I sat down on the edge of the bed and listened intently to the plan Hyunjin and the other members came up with.
"That sounds good,' Chan nodded, looking down as he was deep in thought. "I think that would work! Let's try it tomorrow?"
"Already? That's so soon..." I mumbled.
"Why? Wanna stay with Daddy Bang some more?" Chan teased.
"I will rip your fucking nose off," I growled, but it was the truth: I had grown fond of this boy in so little time, and the hour-long conversation we just had about food proved that (apart from Maccas vs BK) we were very similar. I wished we had more time.
"Even if it does work, we'll stay in contact." Hyunjin smiled. "After this, you could be in great royal danger."
"Are you okay with that?" Chan asked, and I could see he was worried for me.
"...Yeah, I mean, I have to be." I shrugged. "Let's get this show on the road."
"Wake up bright and early tomorrow, then!" Hyunjin said and left, leaving Chan and I alone. He sat next to me and saw I was staring down at my hands, playing with them in my lap. He placed one of his hands offer mine supportively.
"You'll be fine." He smiled sympathetically. "I'll be right by your side."
"Thanks." I smiled back. We looked into each other's eyes for a few minutes: we got lost inside each other's constellations. I pulled away first and stood up, walking into the bathroom.
I really hoped it would go well. For their sakes, and my sake.
