THE WARRIOR DAUGHTER

The meeting

I woke up to the chatter of the people around me. Only I didn't know who they were. Then slowly my vision came into focus and I found myself staring into a pair of chocolate brown eyes. I immediately recognised the person, Allexis. At the moment she was staring at me and was just inches away from my face. And then she said "I have so much to ask you about! Like for example. Where the hell have you been? Why didn't you inform me and also why haven't you been responding to my texts?"
I was out of breath and didn't know how to respond and considering the fact that something did happen to me was what made my head ache even more.
"I'm sorry. You just got kidnapped and returned today. Let's take this slowly. Here drink and explain everything to me calmly." She replied as she laughed silently.
"Oh and by the way you really need to freshen up and go take a look at the mirror while your at it."
I took the glass from her hand and drank up all the water satisfyingly after realising how thirsty I was. Then I told her what happened leading right to the tunnel but i never said anything more than that. He told me no one was to know of him and what I learnt from him was definite proof that i truly do not know myself nor the ones around me. Keeping all this in mind I then got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom.
Maybe my hair was just in a mess or maybe what she meant was I had to take a bath. I entered the light blue coloured bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I was completely shocked as I noticed my hair had streaks of ombre colour. I pulled at my hair thinking of how maybe I could come up with an excuse so that she wouldn't suspect me and so I washed it. So then I pretended like I didn't know what was going on and came out of the bathroom.
"What's going on with my hair? When I woke up I thought I heard a few people in here as well. Where are they?"
She took a few steps towards me and said "When I saw you waking up I sent Kael and Zeth down to the living room so that you wouldn't feel overcrowded. Your hair- to that which ofcourse I have an explanation. It just happened I suppose. To remind you, you came here two hours late." She quickly mumbled on.
"And you came to search for me right?"
"I didn't. No I assumed you were actually at home because rememeber the last time you actually slept off and remembered to come here like what, after six hours?"
I remember now why I was so exhausted that day, why I felt so weird and thought my only solution was to sleep. Its like he said.
"But yes Kael did go out to find you and he did. I knew he had a nose like a dog, I might as well make him search for things for me. And umm you were unconscious in the garden right next to my patch of roses. Weird right? Since I know you love those flowers in particular."
He did know a lot about me. Maybe he stalked me a lot. The next time I meet him I would have to question him.
"You believe me right?"
I believed her- of course I did. After all we were close. Why was this happening to me now?
As if reading my thoughts Allexis giggled and then said "Don't worry. I have lots to tell you, that is if you don't freak out."
"When have I ever freaked out?" I questioned her as I lied. Deep down I really was freaking out about the hair. To know more about this kind off stuff would be the death of me.
"Do me a favour and go tidy yourself up. Take your time. Calm down and then come downstairs and we'll explain everything okay? Oh and one more thing, there are clothes in the closet if u need to change." She said as she unlocked the door, walked out and closed it with a soft click. I turned and walked towards the closet. There was a suitcase inside stuffed with clothes. With great difficulty I carried it out of the closet and laid it on the bed. As I rummaged through the suitcase, I found a leather jacket,  few pajamas, jeans, few shorts and few sleeveless tops. I put on a sleeveless white top and a black stretch jeans. It fit me perfectly. How weird! Allexis' clothes never fit me quite well considering how curvy and tall she was. People teased me either by saying I was too fat or I needed to lose more weight and her body was perfect. Let's not forget her beautiful hair. So long that it reached her waist and a brunette, no doubt at all. I went back into the bathroom and looked at my hair, it was turning back to it's usual colour- brown. It no longer had streaks of ombre. I combed my hair, tied a plait and then left the bathroom. I sat for a while on the bed and glanced at the books kept on the table beside the bed. A few books I've been wanting to read - Reboot and Red Queen. I slept on the bed facing upwards with the Red Queen in my hands. Allexis said I could take my time, the least I could do was calm myself before going down. It took a very long time for me to calm down during those two hours with him but I immediately understood all he had to say. He expressed things in a very calm manner and told me all that I needed to know. But what actually stopped me from slapping him or screaming out was the word he used. I never heard it before yet it caught my attention and the more he used it, the more I wanted to pay attention to him.
"When I said take your time, I didnt actually say you could take forever! Come down, it's time."
