So theres this guy right? Hes the quarterback of the football game and he just so happens to be in my Government class. Man is he freaking hot. Every time I see him, my heart melts like butter. All of my friends keep telling me to get over it and move on because hes trouble. They dont think I should waste my time with a guy like that, but Im not like other people. I just cant help myself. I dont know whats wrong with me. I do know for sure what I could never say no to a guy like Blaise. I really could care less what people say about him. The problem? Well, I guess there are two. Im not sure how to tell him I like him, and the big one, he has a girlfriend.
I would hate to disappoint my mom but I know for a fact she wouldnt approve of him so I guess if we were to ever date, I just wouldnt tell her about it. I know shed be mad but its not like Ive ever disobeyed her before. She told me over the summer I would have to work in the fall. So I ended applying to the only place and was close to my houseThe Crab Shack.
The Crab Shack is an old beat up restaurant and the food is really good. I strongly recommend it, and thats not because I work there, I enjoyed the food even before that. The hours are pretty good, but the hours could be better.
One cold fall evening, while I was working, Blaise walked in. I could only imagine that Nora would be joining him at some point soon. It had to have been after a game because Blaise looked tired and his hair was wet. Plus, it was Friday and thats when the games usually are. He use did look hot like always, but thats no surprise.
Now Nora and I have a history. We used to be best friends back in middle school, but when we enter freshmen year, she became a total bitch. Her dads job really took off and she started to brag to everyone how rich her daddy was. She ended up calling me over on night for a sleepover. We sat in her room, like always, playing truth or dare. When it was my turn again, I decided to pick truth. She asked me if I have had sex with a guy before and when I answered I hadnt, she laughed at me. I didnt think it was a big deal because we were only freshmen but I guess it was. I ended up crying myself to sleep that night and after that we werent friend anymore.
By the end of my sophomore year, I decided that I wanted a change. I started dressing differently, which got the attention of pretty all the guys at school. I didnt like it at first because I wasnt used to it. In April, a bunch of senior guys asked me out to a party. Knowing that my mom would probably tell me I cant go, I told her I was going to be staying over at Saras house, a friend I work with at The Crab Shack. I packed one of my new outfits so I could change over at Saras house and we both ended up going to the party together.
Sara and I tell each other everything that happens in our lives. If I had to pick anyone as my best friend it would be her. She told me how her mom and her had to move because her dad kept abusing her. I felt real bad about it. Even though it didnt compare, I told her how my dad left my mom shortly after I was born. My mom always told me it was his excuse of saying that he wasnt ready for a kid yet, but I honestly think my mom pushed him away.
My mom has had a few boyfriends in the past but none of them really stuck and seriously I havent liked any of them. She has this boyfriend now though and hes cool. His names Mike, hes super funny. And probably my favorite of all of them and treats me like his daughter. Its just the best.
Welcome to The Crab Shack! everyone working yelled as they heard the bells go off, signaling someone had just walked in.
How many? Sara asked. She was standing at the old maple oak podium.
Two please, Blaise said sadly.
Last name? Sara questioned while picking up a yellow pencil.
Callahan, replied Blaise while shifting nervously from one foot to the other. He was wearing khaki pants and a light blue button down shirt. His hair is a golden brown, a mix between a dark blond and a light brown. He is just so adorable. It took all I could not to run up there and kiss him.
