When Blaise and I got to school we both went our separate ways to meet up with our friends. While Blaise was calm and collect, I was bursting at the seams, and beaming from ear to ear. I couldn't wait to tell Katie and Kelly about Blaise and I this past weekend.
I literally couldn't keep quiet any longer and I just blurted it out when I saw them.
"Blaise and I spent the entire weekend together having sex and spending time with each other!" I said a little too loudly.
"Where was your mom and sister?" Katie asked
"Away for the weekend, and wont be home till either tomorrow night or Wednesday morning," I said while an evil smile on my face.
"You aren't having him over again tonight are you?" Kelly questioned. "What if she comes home early and finds the both of you in your bed together?"
"Please I'm not that stupid, and yes he is staying the night again," I said heavily. "Plus Kelly how long were you and Steve dating before you told your mom?" I questioned back.
"Almost 8 months," She said quietly.
"Okay then, so it's settled now can we get to class before we are all late?" I said slamming my locker.
"Molly please promise us that you are practicing safe sex right?" Katie and Kelly asked in unison.
And then it dawned on me that Blaise and I haven't used condoms at all since we've been having sex, and then I ran to the bathroom and started throwing up. After a few minutes went by I heard the bathroom door open.
"Molly?" Katie called softly.
"Yeah?" I answered coming out of the last stall and washing my hands in the sink.
"Are you okay?" She asked again
"No, I think I'm going to go home, can I borrow your car and you can come pick it up after school?" I asked looking at her in the mirror.
"Molly what's wrong, we have been friends since the fifth grade you know you can talk to me about anything," She said quietly.
"Blaise and I haven't used any condoms since we've been hooking up, and then it hit my that my period is late," I said with tears in my eyes
"Do you want me to bring you a test after school?" she said hugging me.
"Yeah, can I still borrow your car?" I asked again
"Sure," She said handing me her keys.
"Thank Kay, oh and do me one more favor please?" I said picking up my bag. "Don't tell Blaise where I went until after school,"
"Sure thing, I'll see you in a few hours," she said giving me another hug and then she was gone.
After I went to the nurses office and got a note and signed out for the day, I headed for Katie's slightly used Nissan Sentra and pulled out of parking lot and onto the road. I tried to hold my tears but by the first stop sign I was sobbing. When I got home I parked the car behind mine and went inside. I ran upstairs and turned on the bath. I sat in the bathtub and cried until I was numb and couldn't cry anymore. I dried off and threw on some sweats and curled up on the couch and just watched tv all day. I didn't even realize that I fell asleep till I was jolted awake by banging on the front door. I looked at my phone and saw that it was after 3pm. I got up and walked to the door.
"Hey," I said opening the door and walking away.
"How are you holding up," Katie said following me into the living room.
"Did you bring the test?" I said turning off the tv.
"Yeah here," She said handing me a paper bag.
"Thanks....I love you guys so much," I said hugging them and heading to the bathroom. After what seemed like an eternity, I looked at the at the test and saw that it was positive. I literally wanted to just die right then and there. How was I suppose to continue with life like this a teenage mother? I had plans for my future that didn't revolve around taking care of another human being.
"So what did the test say?" Kelly asked walking out of the kitchen
"Its positive," I cried falling against the wall in the hallway.
"Well that doesn't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. We will go with you tomorrow after school if you want?" Katie said sitting down next to me.
"Thanks guys, you're the best friends a girl can ever have," I said with half a smile. "Hey you guys want to go sit in the hot tub with me?" I asked getting up from the floor.
"Sure we have time, We don't have to be home right away," Kelly said looking at her sister.
I let them borrow my swim suits, and we headed down to the hot tub. We sat for a few hours talking about everything, where we want to go for college, as well as boys and work. By the time we got out of the hot tub it was well after 630pm. I figured that since they stayed this long why not feed them dinner.
"Hey you guys want pizza for dinner?" I asked grabbing a towel and heading back inside.
"Sure, and a 2 liter of pop if you can spare it," Katie said following me into the house.
"Dominos sound okay?" I called reaching for the cordless phone and dialing the number. "Thank you!" I said hanging up.
"Kelly we should head home afterward," Katie called before walking into the bathroom to change.
After the pizza arrived both Katie and Kelly left for the night. And pretty soon Blaise was at my house.
"Hey babe I didn't see you at school today, are you okay?" Blaise asked kissing my cheek
"Yeah I got sick right after 3rd period and I just went home," I lied. I couldn't bear to tell him that I might be pregnant. I sure as hell going to be in trouble if I am actually pregnant.
"Hey by the way Katie and Kelly are picking me up tomorrow for school," I lied again. "I'll be right back," I said running upstairs to make a phone call.
"Hi this message is for Doctor Stewart, this is Molly Coleman and I was wondering if you had a few minutes tomorrow around 6:45 its important thanks," I said hanging up and heading back downstairs
"So what do you want to do tonight?" Blaise asked as soon as I walked into the kitchen.
"I was thinking about renting a movie and just relaxing," I said heading for the couch. "Want to watch The Notebook?"
"Sure," he said walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch.
"Oh and do you mind going home tonight, I think I might be coming down with something and would hate for you to get whatever this is that I am catching," I said while putting in the movie The Notebook. After Blaise left I continued to sit on the couch and think of ways to tell both Blaise and my mom if I actually was pregnant.
When my alarm went off at 6 in the morning, the pregnancy thought came to my head and I jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom. I then decided to call Doctor Stewart and see if she could squeeze me in the morning.
"Good morning thank you for calling Dr. Stewart's office, what can i do?" The lady said
"Hi, my name is Molly Coleman and i was wondering if she had an opening this morning?" I asked
"She has a 12pm will that work for you?" the lady questioned back
"Yes that will work!" I blurted right away without thinking.
