The Next Day...
"Em... Em wake up," her brother cooed softly.
She let out a small whine in response before turning the other way and getting comfortable again.
"You still wanna sleep?"
She nodded in response.
"Okay. But I still have to get up."
"Nooo," she whined on protest.
"Yesss. I'll be back, I just have to use the bathroom."
She whined in protest again, cuddling into him more.
"Okay, I'll stay. Go back to sleep."
Once he was sure she was asleep, he carefully moved her so he could get up and do his thing. The second he got back to the room, he was met with a very unhappy Emily.
"You left me!" she accused, pointing a finger at him.
"Em, I only went to the bathroom, you're okay," he softly spoke, calming her down.
"But you said you wouldn't leave me," she pouted, cuddling into him more as he held her in his arms.
"I would never leave you Em, you know that."
"But-"
"Shh...Shh, go back to sleep, I'll be right here when you wake up okay?"
She nodded into his chest before going back to her peaceful slumber as he soothed her to sleep.
