"This way."

He led you outside of Hau'Oli city and through route three, past Verdant Cavern to Melemele Meadow. You walked in with him in front of you to be bestowed the beauty the gorgeous golden cosmos that were the flowers. The late r afternoon sunlight shone down in rays frim the broken off ceiling. Many fairy, bug, and grass type Pokémon made this place their home. They seemed to be greeting Ilima and seemed to be curious as to who you are. A small cutifly buzzed up to you, looking you dead in the eye. You stopped and stared the little creature dead in the eyes, wondering what the tinted bug was thinking. Ilima stopped with the tug at his hand and laughed, returning directly by your side with a cheery smile. He made it his mission to make sure you were having a good time.

"Hello Cutifly. This is my friend (name). We're going to Kala'e together, If you don't mind. You and Your friends are welcome to join us. The more, the merrier!"

Kala'e? You've never heard of that place. Cutifly buzzed around Ilima's head in a circle joyfully before buzzing off to a large group of Pokémon playing within the cosmo flowers. The Pokémon all cheered about and Ilima pulled at your hand again, telling you to keep walking. You followed until the Cavern wall hit and a large boulder was in front of you both. By now several Cutifly, three Butterfree, an Oricoro, Two Petlil, And Maybe half a dozen Caterpie were behind you. Ilima went to the right of the boulders, hands on. He didn't try to move it and hurt himself accidentally, instead he asked for your help from the getgo.

"Would you mind helping me with this?"

You nodded and obliged, standing next to Ilima with your hands on the jagged stone. With a large shove of two, a cave instead of a cave was revealed. It was just large enough for a Pokémon half Ilima's size to walk through. Ilima got on his behind and scooted in, Many Pokémon pushing to get through the entrance and follow Ilima. You watched curiously as all the Pokémon found their Way in except a singular Caterpie. It was very dark on the other end. The smol Bug Pokemon seemed to be afraid of it. You crouched down next to the frightened Pokémon, knowing exactly what it felt like to be terrified of something everyone else was doing, and tried soothing them.

"Hey little Friend. I don't know what's exactly scaring you, but believe me when I say it's essier with a friend. Do you want me to carry you until we get where Ilima wants us to go? I don't mind."

Caterpie crawled into your arms and you did exactly as Ilima had, cooked in on your butt like an itchy dog Pokémon. You stood up and noticed how there was only light from behind and maybe some from a distant source. You couldn't see anything, your eyes having severe trouble adjusting. You looked around, seeing nothing but darkness and maybe the outline of a few shapes. You held Caterpie tighter, feeling the small bug tremble.

That's when the two of you were saved from the black prison by the psychic energy of the trio of Butterfree. A pink illumination lit up the cover, dancing around the large group. You stared at Ilima, who was grinning in the pink hue. It suited him well. You didn't notice him catching you staring with a dumbstruck expression. He walked up to you, the confusion move from the Butterfree lingering and lighting a path into the distance of the cave, possibly towards an unknown light source. Caterpie seemed to be calmer now, which was a very good thing. Maybe you can be friends with Caterpie. Learn their preferred Pronouns and hang out with them. Maybe even bring them along on your journey. If Caterpie doesn't want to that's cool too. You smiled at the big, who was looking back at you in amazement and wonder. Ilima saw the bug Pokémon in your arms and decided to comment on your obvious kindness.

"You're such an understanding person, (Nickname). That makes me very eager to learn more about you. Come, behind the Seaward Cavern is a place where we can just talk and get to know eachother in our lonesome. I can finally be alone with you and learn what kind of person you are. May I take your hand again?"

Caterpie wriggled our of your arms and up your shoulder, resting there like a Chatot to a Pirate. You grinned and nodded, allowing Ilima to take you by the hand and lead you through this wonderland of darkness. The Butterfree and Cutifly danced around, following them psychic path the butterfly Pokémon have given them. The Oricoro did a little cheer along the way, leading in front of Ilima. The Petlil twirled around, being beautiful little grass children. The Caterpie were slugging behind, sadly, in a v formation because there were only five of them left.

Your eyes sparkle a when seeing the large lakes around the path, weathered in on their own. The groundwater shimmered with a pink hue, having more glare from the psychic energy than from the other light source which was growing nearer and nearer. Ilima never let go of your hand. I'm fact, his loose and soft grip only became tighter with time. It was almost as if he was scared you were going to leave his side if he let go and get lost in the crypt. It wasn't uncomfortable, but it definately was something to take note of. No one said a word, and the silence was savory.

You finally were able to see the large arc in the cave that opened out to the outside, revealing that the darker sunset rays were the light source. The entrance was taller than a Wailord standing vertical and wider than the horizontal latitude of the same large Pokémon. You could hear waves crashing and the blissful cries of Pokémon as the path disappeared snd they rushed outside. Was this Kala'e? You felt yourself grinning from ear to ear, extremely excited to see what Ilima had planned for you.

When you stepped outside, everything changed for the better.
