Chapter 8: For The Future

Noire's POV

A giant bionic panther was destroying the city. Me, Uni, and Y/N were going to stop this thing before it got worse. This meant we had to keep our enemy within a 50 meter radius. People were still being evacuated from the city to a safer place.

Both me and Uni were in our HDD forms and we were attacking the panther. Uni served as a distraction, while I went in when there was an opening. Y/N said he had a plan and that he needed us to distract it long enough for him to get close.

Black Rose: Ahahahaha. You really think you pathetic attacks will hurt me! The most you're doing is just tickling me!

Noire(HDD): (Damn! This thing is going to take a lot more than just slashes to take down.)

Y/N(???): You guys, can you hear me?

Uni(HDD): Loud and clear! How are you talking to us?

Y/N(N-Gear): I'm using Nepgear's N-Gear to communicate. I am also on your radio server.

Noire(HDD): I see. So what's the plan?

Y/N(N-Gear): I noticed that the bionic panther has a weak spot. Every time it goes for an attack, a protected energy like core is revealed soon after.

Uni(HDD): Just the one? This is going to be easier than I thought.

Y/N(N-Gear): There are five of them. One on each leg, and the final one near the head.

Uni(HDD): Thank's for ruining my fun...

Noire(HDD): So what do you need us to do?

Y/N(N-Gear): Get that thing to attack you. One, make sure you can block the attack, and two, once it attacks, I can get in there and deal damage to the core.

Me and Uni kept fighting Black Rose. She threw slash attacks at us with her legs. She would occasionally fire bullets at us from her head. Y/N was getting closer and closer to her. Y/N was now within 10 meters away from her. A large enough radius for her to attack him. He kept sneaking over to her, and hid behind cover.

Black Rose: Alright! No more fun and games! Its time I put an end to your misery. Take this!

Noire(HDD): Y/N, now!

Y/N: Speed!

3rd POV

You activated your speed ability, and sprinted at one of Black Rose's hind legs. You latched onto the leg and activated your new ability. Rust. Rust is an the ability of metal and water combined. It makes the rusting process of metal a lot faster. The ability may make metal rust faster, but it makes your blade heavy, and your speed slow.

Y/N: Cross Slash!

You slashed Black Rose's hind leg in an X form.

Black Rose: You fool. Do you think that a rusting ability can hurt my core. Ahahahahaha. You incompetent fool! Now that you're open I'll-

Y/N: Who said I was aiming for your core.

Black Rose: W-What?!

The core was not affected by rust, but what was protecting it, was. You started to run and take cover as the core was starting to overheat. After a few seconds of overheating, the core exploded, causing rusted shards to scatter everywhere.
