You had seen the signs. You knew something was up. So why didn't you speak up and confront him about it? Why did you let it get this bad? What did you do so wrong for him to do something so horrible to you? But as you said, you had seen the signs and did nothing.
September 15th 2018
You were in the kitchen cooking dinner for the both of you. The aroma of chicken, noodles and broth wafted through the house giving it a homely feel. You heard the front door being unlocked and opened.
"Y/n! I'm home!"
"I'm in the kitchen!"
You heard the heavy footsteps of him and his timberland boots echo through the peaceful house. You turned your head to look at the doorway and saw his head peaking through the doorframe as he walked in. His usual adorable smile was upon his face.
"Mmmm that smells so good! What is it?"
"You'll have to wait and see."
He just chuckled and walked over to you. You turned your attention away from the pot and over to him. You dove into his arms as you had missed him and he was home kinda late so you worried a bit. As you were wrapped in his warm embrace you breathed in deeply. You noticed that something was slightly off but what was it? He smelled....? Sweeter than normal? Like he'd put on perfume. But that couldn't be right, right? No of course not! You were just over reacting. You pulled away from him and turned back to the pot on the stove. He went to sit at the table as you turned off the heat. You pulled plates put of the cupboards and used a ladle to serve the food. You carried it over to the table.
"Thank you so much y/n! It looks delicious!"
"Aww thanks, I hope you enjoy it!"
He dug into his food as did you. You both had a conversation about how your days had been throughout dinner.
You should have payed attention. But you knew no better. You went on with the evening as if everything was normal. As if everything was fine, nevermind the nagging feeling in the back of your head. It was the first sign, the one you should have noticed.
October 13th 2018
You and Jimin were going out for dinner as it was his birthday. You had arranged a reservation at a high class restaurant in Seoul for the both of you. You dressed up nicely as did he. He wore a navy suit. You both got in a taxi and went to the restaurant. You got out and went into the restaurant. You checked your reservation and the staff took you to your table. A waitress came over to take your orders and left on e you had done so.
When your food came you both started to eat. You tried to start conversation but he wasn't really paying attention. He just kept zoning out and staring around him. You decided to see what was so much more interesting than you. You followed his eyesight to see them trailing after a woman and then another and then another. It was endless. But you decided to pay no notice to it. Just like the last sign because he was just a guy right? They were allowed to look.
December 27th 2018
Jimin was away at his parents on boxing day as he'd spent Christmas with you. He was supposed to arrive at 7pm but it was 10 now and there was still no sign of him. Just as you were thinking that the front door swung open and hit the wall due to the force of the wind. In walked Jimin with the biggest coat you've ever seen.
"Jimin! You're back!"
"Y/n! I missed you so much!"
"It's only been a day silly!"
"But one day away from you is too much."
"Aahhh stop being cheesy!"
"Okay, okay." He said through laughs.
He took off his coat and you ran over to hug him. As you snuggled you head into his neck you noticed something. There was lipstick on his shirt collar. Maybe it was his mother's? But it was red and she never wore red. Maybe she was trying something new? Or maybe- no no that couldn't be it. Of course it's nothing, you were reading into it too much it's fine! But were you?
It was the third sign, the one you should have payed the most attention to. A month later something terrible happened and you should have been paying attention this while time. You could have stopped it if you had.
January 27th 2019
You were just getting home from work. Your boss let you leave early so that you could go home because you looked exhausted. Everyone at work wanted you to rest and relax as you'd been pushing yourself too far lately. You decided to let it be a surprise
You got to your front door, unlocked it and stepped inside, making sure to lock it behind you. You could hear a strange noise coming from upstairs. What was that? Banging? Creaking? Was Jimin trying to build furniture again?
You were curious to find out what the noise was so you creeped up the stairs and along to your bedroom. What was that saying? Curiousity killed the cat. As you got closer to the door you could here other noises. Was that a woman's voice? No there was no way he'd bring a friend over without telling you. You got closer and it sounded like... moaning? Is that what it was? No, theres no way!? You got to the door and slowly creaked it open.
There was Jimin ontop of another woman. In your SHARED BED!? You couldn't believe your eyes! You tried to keep quiet but you couldn't help letting out a small gasp. Your heart rate went through the roof as you thought he would hear but it seemed they were having too much 'fun' to notice you. You rushed as quietly down the hallway and back down the stairs as you could. You put your coat back on and left the house as quietly as you came in, hoping that he wouldn't hear you. It was the final sign and it just proved everything you had been thinking this whole time, Park Jimin is a cheater.
