Chapter 15

Mal's POV

As I got closer to Hayes I tryed to ingnore him and get on the bus but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me aside.

" Babe listen-" Hayes started but I cut him off.

" Don't call me babe and all I need to know is one thing were you dating another girl this whole time?" I asked.

" Yes but-" Hayes said.

" Thanks that's all I need to" I said.

I noticed someone yelling from the bus and as I turned around I noticed Sam banging on the window yelling and fist pumping. I had a good laugh and I also saw Hayes flick her off.

I arrived at the hotel, Sam and I were unpacking and going to sleep because we had an Important game tomorrow. We also got our jersey.

I woke up to Sam slapping me in the face. ( and no we didnt get 2 bed so we had to sleep together) Sam put her hair up into a bun and I had mine in a High braid ponytail. We walked down and ate some breakfast, later got on the buses and left. I took about 2 hours to get there so we only had an hour to practice.

After we got done with warm-up we went back into the locker room for our pre-game talk. And after all that boring crap Sam got us all pumped up !

S: WHO ARE WE

Then we were all pumped and screaming. I waited for Sam to get her water and walked out.

" Hey I forgot my mouth guard in the locker room could you go get it" Sam asked.

" Fine " I said.

I walked back into to locker room and was looking around for her mouth guard and realized she was holding it the whole time. I stood up and saw Hayes standing infront of me. I tryed to push through him but he grabbed my arms and didnt let go. I stood there waiting for him to respond.

" Mal please just don't talk let me explain myself before you do anything you're gonna regret" Hayes said. I nodded.

" Malory it is true that I was dating another girl. And I was very stupid for doing that-" Hayes said.

" yeahitwas" I mumbled.

" Please quiet. I didnt know who to choose. Like I was saying I was only dating her because I didn't know if we were a real thing." Hayes said.

" YOU DIDN'T KNOW IF WE REAL" I said.

At that point I was furious I pushed through him, grabbed my stick and ran on the filed.

I was ready for one of the best games I ever played.

The game was over. I scored 3 times and made 2 assists to Sam. I also got  2 yellow cards for pushing. I just call that good defense.

When we got back to the hotel I showered and changed into my long sleeve Gator shirt and grey yoga pants. When I got down stairs the was a tornado warning so we all had to go into the basement. I got down there and went on my phone. I heard a lady yelling up on the first floor.

" Young man you can't be here. There is dangerous weather in the area. Please just go down to the basement." I wanted to know what boy would drive through this weather just to come here, and then I realized I know who would do that. Hayes.

I saw though Vans come down the stairs and quickly ran over and pulled him into a corner in the basement.

" Hayes what are you doing here" I said whispered.

" I chose who I wanted." Hayes announced.

" Thats great that your going to date her-" I said but Hayes cut me off.

" Malory I chose you." Once he said that it broke my heart.

" I don't know that I could date a cheater." I said.

" Please you know how bad if feel about it." He said.

" Well than why did you do this to yourself. To me. " I asked.

" Because I didn't know I'd end up losing you." He said.

" What about this promise ring you gave me. You made me promise but you never did." I said holding up the ring.

" You-you never took it off" He asked.

" No becuase I really wanted to believe things would change and...... it's a nice ring" I said and me and him both giggled at the end.

" Malory if you would give my one more chance I will promise." He said trying to smile.

" Promise what " I said.

" I will promise to always make you laugh and smile. Love you ALL the time. Never cheat on you. And be with you forever." Hayes said.

" Pinkie? " I asked smiling.

" Yes " He smiled and hugged me.

What would I ever do without him. But tomorrow we are leaving our separate ways and going back home. Hopefully I can trust him.
