Death was a blessing to Bethany, but a curse to those she left behind.

After her passing, Joey was left with a void in his life that couldn't be filled with material things. It was as if Bethany took his heart with her when she died. He started therapy 6 months later, but never improved. He was 95% suicidal and 5% human. As a result, turned to various narcotics, his favorite of which being acid. Joey would constantly take hits of acid, which he believed would allow him to speak to Bethany again. It was his way if coping with and mourning the loss of his baby sister.

Though Vic and the rest of the guys checked up on him frequently, they could only help their friend so much.

Joey finally died 2 years later at age 25 when Jaime found him hanging in his closet. A note was fastened around his ankle.

There was no funeral held for Bethany Jane Smith, nor was there one for Joey.

After setting the fire, Chris disappeared. No one ever saw him again. He just...vanished.

Pierce the Veil went on to play bigger and better shows, never forgetting the girl who radically changed the way they experienced everyday life. Many songs on their albums were inspired by Bethany, though no one but the four of them knew.

Slowly but surely, they healed.

But none of them were ever the same.

I'm so incredibly grateful to all of you who read and enjoyed this story that started out as a dream I had one night. I never thought it would end up being viewed and enjoyed by a thousand people

This ending was never how I originally planned to finish this story off. It just kinda, happened. I hope you're all not too upset with me.
