Maddi's POV:

"Clara! Clara!"

"Maddi? Maddi!" She screamed. She ran towards me and grabbed me by the hand. I'm stronger than her, she never had fighter training like I did (we have some people who are mixes of two things, like Ethan and I have fighting experience, and Connor can do some lower level healing), but I followed. Hudson was tied to a tree, and Matthew was hacking away at his bonds with a rock. One arm came free, and he slumped over, knocking Matthew down. Hudson moaned.

"What happened?!"

"R-Riley! He grabbed Hudson and walked off, I guess, while we were sleeping, and he killed Trent with a rock he bashed his skull in and he brought him here and he did this and we heard him screaming and we followed him and Matthew punched Riley and he walked off and we cant get him untied and-" she fell forward. I caught her. And realized that she had blacked out. Someone grabbed me from behind.

"Hey! Ethan, put me dow-"

"I'm not your stupid boyfriend."

"Riley!? Put me DOWN!"

"No." I flailed violently, but he was much stronger than me. He stepped over Matthew, and walked off, with me screaming the whole time.

Jack's POV:

Brice, now with the ability to move, launched himself off the ground.

"Maddi!? Maddi!!" He shouted. When she didn't reply, he threw himself on the ground beside me.

"My life is overr." He moaned.

"Nah. Riley will let us find her."

"No. There's a compound base 5 miles from here. He'll take her there."

"Well, then, let's go look for her. We can split into teams of two." I stood, and offered him a hand. He pulled himself up.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Split into a team with Nic, we searched the forest. After maybe 2 hours, we heard her screaming.

"SHUT UP!" Riley screamed, followed by a sickening crunch.

"That can't be good." Nic whispered. "Maddi?" No response. "Riley! Is that you?"

"Are you trying to bring him closer?" I hissed.

"He trusts me." He moved closer to where Riley had yelled. "Riley?" He pushed through some trees into a small clearing. Maddi was on the ground, seemingly unharmed asides from the bruise on her head. I guess Riley had hit her to shut her up? I slid my arms beneath her, and lifted her up. Her belt had her hands secured behind her back.

"What the hell?" I said out loud.

"What?"

"Her hands. They're tied behind her."

"Oh god."

"What? She's got a little Mark on her head but-"

"No, no, look at her jeans." The were unzipped and barley pulled up all the way. Blood streaked down her inner thigh.

"He didn't."

"He did. He raped her."
