Jack's POV:

"GODDAMN JACK!"

"What?" I shouted.

"Can we stop walking!? It's been 47 miles for Chris's sake!"

"We've been walking for and hour."

"That's a long time!" I turned, walking backwards. Clara had hands on hips, with a smirk on her face.

"We've maybe gone 4 miles."

"I don't want to walk."

"I don't care." I said turning.

"Jack, babe."

"Yes Connor?"

"Calm down. It's okay."

"I'm sorry. I'm just stressed."

"Why?"

"We're wandering through the woods in a post apocalyptic wasteland. Several of our friends have died. We are always at the threat of being attacked. My best friend was raped, we've had a member abandon us, and probably give away our location. Most of the responsibility in this group has been given to me. How could I not be stressed!?"

"Babe."

"Stop calling me that. You're not helping the gay stereotype here."

"K babe."

"QUIT!"

"Fine then!" He shouted, storming off. Maddi put her hand on my shoulder.

"Are you ok?"

"I'm fine."

"Is your relationship ok?" I sighed.

"Maybe."

"What happened?"

"Connor and I... Have been arguing...."

"Oh my god no please you can't break up. No."

"I was going to later. I really do love him but I don't think the feeling is mutual."

"Jackkkkkk!"

"It's just... We argue too much, were mean to each other-"

"You might as well do it."

"Such positivity I see. How are you and Ethan?"

"Who said anything about me and Ethan?"

"Ethan." She groaned loudly.

"What did he say?"

"Heh. Nothing."

"Liar. Besides, I still have a boyfriend."

"Yeah, a really hot boyfriend."

"Jack, we've been over this, Brice is mine."

"We have not been over this!"

"Or was that with Connor?"

"I thought you hated Connor."

"I do. But he's entertaining when he's not being a douche canoe."

"Did you just call my boyfriend a douche canoe?"

"I thought you two were breaking up."

"What the fuck is a douche canoe?"

"I don't think he loves meeeee."

"I thought you liked Connor."

"It's so tragicccc."

"You liked him a second ago."

"Woe is meeeeee."

"That's women for you."

"My life must be ending, for I can see light in the darkness."

"Never can make up their minds."

"I'm practically dead already."

"And dramatic."

"And I would embrace death at this terrible hour."

"Not to mention rude."

"Dyingggg."

"Annoyingggg."

"I am not annoying." I smiled.

"Nooooo. Neverrrrr."

"Hey!"

"I'm just saying."

"Oh shut up!"

"Then leave, If you can't even take a fucking joke. That's what makes you annoying." She looked hurt. I didn't care.

"Fine then." She said, walking off. I could hear tears in her voice. Why am I acting like this? What's wrong with me?
