Aurora's POV
No. I don't wake up to my alarm. I wake up with a thud. Because I fell of the bed. Oh my sweet dream! Bye bye! I will be back soon and I hope to see you again!
After mourning for my very well interrupted dream, I made my way to the bathroom. I hate it when I wake up earlier than needed! Then I can't fall back to sleep. So I get ready for the day, jeans and a top with my sneakers. I head downstairs to the kitchen and make some coffee. I took my sweet time to enjoy my coffee and the silence of the house. My dad is usually gone for his work by the time I wake up and my mother is probably asleep so I don't wake her up from her sweet slumber. To kill time I do some rough work for our school play. By the time I am done it's 6:35 am. School starts at 7:00 am. It's a 15 minute walk from my house. Washing the mug and placing it back in it's place, I leave for school.
The walk to school is always peaceful. Inhaling the fresh morning air, my drug, I plug in my hands-free and enjoy the music. The warm wind gently brushes my bangs away from my face which brings a faint smile on my face. But all good things come to an end. So does this walk. Because in front me stands the building of Gregson High or shall I say the collage of the most embarrassing moments of my life and their not so polite witnesses. Everyone here in Gregson Hills knows everyone here in Gregson Hills. Not the best part. But I guess that is a given when you live in a town that is not so densely populated.
Gregson Hills is a small, cozy town with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Streets here are active but not overcrowded. It has small cafes and shops scattered here and there and amazing views with beautiful nature spreading it's wings over it. I love this place and it's people. Except for the rich snobs who think they own the place, the 'Elite'.
As I enter the school, I inhale the familiar scent of the walls and mixed perfumes of the students bustling in the hallways. I spot my best friends standing by their lockers talking to each other or more like ready to rip each other's hair off. Shaking my head, I make my way to my locker to take the books needed when they realize my presence. Immediately, Jennifer turns to me with her make-up caked face with a look of authority and determination.
"You tell us Ari!" I cringe at the nickname she knows I hate. I turn to Isabelle with a questioning look on my face.
"She still can't get over the fact that she got rejected for the school play", she explains while rolling her eyes.
"And what am I supposed to tell you in that?" I direct my question towards Jenny.
Jennifer is a beautiful blonde with green eyes and dead straight here. She has got the looks, she has got the sense of fashion. She always knows what to wear. She is rich, with her dad being one of the 'Elites' and she sure does not fail to show it. Isabelle is brunette with creamy brown eyes. She is the more sporty kind who believes in women being strong. She has a way with her words, throwing them right at your face. But I love her for that. She always gives real advice, a quality that most people lack these days. Our other friend, Macy, the bookworm, is more simple like me. She has black wavy hair that reach below the length of her chin in her bob cut. With her glasses perched up her nose around her mesmerizing brown orbs, she dresses simply. Sure, she is rich, one of the 'Elites' but one could never guess by looking at her.
"No seriously guys! They did not even let me finish my audition when they told me to go! That isn't fair!" Jenny explains.
"Isn't that supposed to tell you something?" Isabelle says while stifling a laugh. Jenny stomps her feet and looks at us accusingly.
"Look Jenny, I know you can be a bitch but we all know that Brittany is way up ahead. She suits the role, we needed someone just like her, a spoiled brat." I barely console her. She glares at me.
