We gave each other sad looks, seeing we were enjoying our time in America, but we understood. Not everyone accepted our kind of love.

Even in Korea, we had to be careful. It wasn't death worthy, but it did make it hard to get a job, get married, and even have kids. Most of the time, people pretended to be straight so that they could get good jobs. Their lover would be secret.

But we didn't care. We found love with one another, and we weren't going to quit it just because someone else found it gross.

"Hajoon, let's go." I shook myself from my thoughts at Chanyeol's voice, smiling as his eyes met my own.

"Okay hyung," I whispered, waving goodbye to my friends as he led me to meet his mother.

We were saddened when she didn't accept his love for me, but knew that my parents would accept him. He ended up moving in with us, just as my father had done with my mother when they were just a little older than we were.

A couple of years later, the two of us were picked up by an entertainment company and given jobs as idols. We focused on dance and rap, though we could do vocals as well. Chanyeol decided to not keep our relationship a secret, despite the company disliking us for our love, and I was surprised when the fans still supported us.

It made me happy, seeing the new generation of citizens were more open to whatever may come.

A Few Years Later

"Chanyeol hyung! We're running really late!" I huffed as I ran down the stairs, grabbing my coat and trying to get my shoes on.

"We're not going to be late because it's our party." He replied as he casually walked up behind me, giving me a quick hug and kiss on the cheek before grabbing his keys.

We made it to the venue with four minutes to spare. I felt panicked, but Chanyeol held my hand tightly, and it made me feel better.

"Hey, dongsaeng!" I turned and saw my elder brother smiling proudly at me from his seat as we walked past him to ours. I gave him a wave with my free hand and smiled widely at his support to me. "I voted for you!"

"Thank you hyung!" I shouted back before the crowd got larger and he disappeared. Chanyeol and I made it to our seats and sat as the program began.

"The winner for this year's award for the best music video goes to Chanyeol and Sehun with their "We Young" video!" The lead host said, making us jump and scream for joy as we made our way up to accept the award.

"I heard that Sehun is just a stage name, but it's weird because it suits you so well." The second host said as she shoved a microphone in my face, smiling as she expected an answer. I let out an awkward laugh and looked to Chanyeol for help.

"Yes, Sehun is his stage name. The company we signed with didn't like his birth name and so they changed it. But there's nothing to worry about since I'm changing his last name next week at our wedding." He explained, only to make me a blushy mess as he looked at me with a childish smile of smugness while the hosts looked shocked.

"Yes, my hyung Chanyeol has been a big help in my singing career and the only way I could think of paying him back was giving him my heart," I responded, making him smile at my words.

The crowd shouted praises at us for being so brave in a country where it was rare to see people like us publicly announcing our love. It made me smile as Chanyeol proudly grabbed my hand in his as we accepted the award and walked off the stage.
