Percy's PoV
Cabin 3
I woke up and Apollo was gone (thankfully), and my legs hurt. I winced, I had fallen asleep in my jeans, a bad idea I know, but I was tired.
I yawned and stretched, and then winced again. Damn. I needed to change into something more comfortable. But first, I needed to check in with Chiron. I needed a break.
I got up and left Cabin 3, though I had a slight limp which caused me to get some funny looks. I headed to the Big House, and as always, Mr. D and Chiron were there playing pinochle again. Mr. D caught sight of me and whistled, "Damn, Pedro, who got into your pants?"
My face heated up, though whether anger or embarrassment was the reason I wasn't sure. "Mr. D, it's Percy. And no, nobody got into my pants! Why would-" I stopped myself because I supposed my limp was rather bad, but everybody should know that I would be loyal to Annabeth!
(AN: This is going to be very slow, and Percy will always love Annabeth. You can't just fall out of love this somebody when it's real. Part of him will always love her... and it doesn't help that this is Forced!Polympians. Not consensual at all, really. So yes, this is a Polympians story but it will be an extremely slow burn. Apollomes is one of the main ships too, if you haven't noticed already. They, uh... well, let's just say that Apollo hurts Hermes in more ways than one.)
"I love Annabeth," Percy explained, ears red. "I'd never betray her." Mr. D rolled his eyes, obviously bored. "Anyway, I came here because I don't think I can teach today. These jeans were already too tight and then I fell asleep in them like an idiot. Besides.. I came across a.. revelation and I need time to think about it."
(AN: Also the first chapter wouldn't save so it deleted whole paragraphs apparently. I had to rewrite some of it in the second, so that's probably why you're confused. Rachel got a prophecy, and Percy doesn't know about it just yet.)
Mr. D raised an eyebrow, "So you're asking for a break? Peter, do you have an idea of how hard it is to find competent sword instructors?" I gave him a pointed look, and then rolled my eyes.
"Unless you want me to look like a zombie holding a meat cleaver, I suggest you give me time off."
"Do my ears deceive me, or is that a threat I'm hearing, Parker?"
"It's not a threat, it's a fact. I need new clothes, I can't teach in these. Not to mention the fact that I have a bad enough limp that everybody thought that I had..." Percy's ears turned red, and then he coughed and regained his composure. "Anyways, I came here to let you know that unless you want your future soldiers to swordfight like they're swinging baseball bats, you should probably find somebody else to teach today."
"Fine," Mr. D grumbled, "Be that way. Nico will teach today." I nodded my thanks to him, and then to Chiron, who had been watching with an amused expression. I began to walk off, just hearing Chiron declare something about winning.. again.
---
I groaned, I really didn't want to have to do this. But I put on my brave face and entered.. you guessed it.. the mall. It wasn't even a guy thing (well, it was, but Percy hated people even more than he hated shopping, so ha). I just hated people. Especially mall people. Ugh.
"Percy, let's go!" Piper yelled excited, dragging me to the clothes store. I groaned even louder, making Piper roll her eyes. Despite her insisting that she wasn't the stereotypical daughter of Aphrodite, when she'd heard that none of Percy's clothes fit him, she'd made a sound like a dying pterodactyl having a baby and demanded she take him clothes shopping.
