Fall City Asylum

"H-hello? Is anyone there?" I listened as my voice traveled down the hallway and no reply. I turn back to continue my adventure and there appears to be a little girl in front of me,
"Hello" her tiny little voice was harmonic, in such a way that it seemed as if multiple people were speaking.
I knew she was not of this world when she uttered that simple word.
For a moment I just stare at her, capturing the details of her luminous and frail body.
"Hi, what's your name little girl?"
I almost automatically assume her name is Tara because she looks like she is about seven years old and I wouldn't be too surprised if she is the girl that went missing in Fall City.
"My name is Tara. What is yours?"

My breath came to a halt, this was Tara Evans. Her voice small was chilling full of an odd nothingness, something I was not yet familiar with.
"My name is Payton Thomas, Are you Tara Evans?"
Her doe eyes looked up at me and then behind me so naturally I turned my head but there wasn't anything there.

"Of course I'm Tara Evans silly, who else in Fall City is named Tara?" She giggled in such an eerie tone that it made my skin crawl.

Her name was kind of unusual, considering there were people that still have names from the 40s here.

"Well um, do you mind if I ask you some questions, Tara?" "Not here" Her tiny voice trailed off and seemed to even go up a few notes and more harmonic than before. I tilt my head to the side out of confusion "Then where?" I asked confused She beckons me to follow her, her body elegantly gliding above the floor. I follow her through the maze of hallways back downstairs and I make sure not to cut my leg again on the sharp marble angel. Being inside the asylum I didn't realize how ill-lighted it truly was. I kept following her to a willow tree its branches gnarled and reaching towards the soil; a perfect tree to sit in. "Why did you bring me here?" I was curious as to why she didn't just stay in the asylum and why she decided to venture no farther than the willow tree. The tree seemed to border the asylum and I wondered if she wasn't able to go farther.
