Lance was gone. It was still raining and Keith just stood at the side of road. He was heartbroken by what Lance told him. He hadn't realized how much pain he caused Lance.

Keith's POV
By trying to protect myself I ended up hurting him a lot worse. Why am I so stupid?

He felt stupid and disgusted with himself. Lance wasn't anywhere near him. He walked around hoping he'd somehow run into him but he didn't. It was late now. Keith reached into his pocket hoping he'd be able to call him or someone but his battery was dead.

He sighed.

Keith's POV
Everything was going so great. How did it all change so quickly?

Lances POV
I still can't find my car. It's raining a lot more. It's getting cold. It's even darker than before and I left my phone in the car. I should've probably used Keith's phone before storming off. Goddamnit my only weekend with my family and I'm out here lost. And Keith. God fucking Keith. I hope he steps on a lego.

Lance followed the road hoping he'd eventually see a car pass by or at least find a gas station.

He kept walking and finally saw lights ahead. He was so excited that he ran towards it. Finally he saw a breakfast Café in the distance, to his surprise it was still open.

He looked through the window. There wasn't anyone else inside except for a waitress sitting around waiting for customers to walk in. The sign said "open" in bright letters.

Lance was pretty hungry. He hadn't eaten since his family dinner and that had been hours ago. Plus all the walking made him hungry. He reached into his pockets for some change. He had exactly $10.87, he guessed that was enough to at least get him some eggs and coffee.

He went inside and sat down alone. The waitress came over and brought him the menu. He ordered his food and a cup of coffee. She took his menu and left to put in the order.

A moment later she came back with a cup of coffee. Lance thanked her and drank it. It felt warm in his lips, he hadn't realized how cold he really was. His hair was still wet but was drying. His shirt was also starting to dry except for his jeans that were still soaked. Lance never really understood why it took so long for jeans to dry.

As Lance waited for his food he thought of Keith. He had been thinking about him since he stormed off. Despite being pissed he was still worried. He had just left him stranded by the side of the road.

Lances POV
Why am I feeling bad? I'm sure he'll just call his precious girlfriend to pick him up.

Lance started to feel awful again. He hated Acxa. What he didn't like is that he had no reason to hate her other than she was with Keith. Acxa was actually a really amazing person. Lance didn't want to hate her but the jealousy always got the best of him.

He lost his track of thought by the sound of the door opening. And could you guess it? It was Keith freaking Kogane. His mullet was soaking wet and dripping water to the nice carpet inside the breakfast Café.

Lance POV
Fuck he found me.

Keith came inside. The waitress wasn't anywhere to be seen. He looked around the Café and met Lances eye. He quickly turned away to leave but Lance stopped him.

"Wait-"

Keith turned around.

"Come."

Keith raised his eyebrow not knowing what to do.

"I'm serious. Sit." He pointed at the chair across from him.

Keith sat down not looking at Lance.

"Why won't you look at me?"

Keith didn't say anything.

"Oh come on just spit it out."

"I'm humiliated Lance."

"What?"

"I've been lying to you this whole time and I hate myself for it. I'm so sorry Lance. About everything. About leaving. About lying to you. About hurting you. About making you feel like you were alone. I'm so sorry."

Lance didn't speak.

"I was so focused in protecting myself that I never stopped to think of how I was making you feel."

"Protecting yourself of what?"

"Of you."

"Of me?"

"Yes. Look I left because every time I saw you with Allura, it hurt. I came back because Acxa convinced me too. Axca is not my girlfriend. I made her pretend she was my girlfriend so I wouldn't feel so pathetic being alone after all these years. I avoided you. I know that wrong but I was scared to talk to you. Then what happened a couple of nights ago I didn't want to tell you because I was afraid. That you'd be so disgusted of me and never talk to me again. So today when I saw you with your family I realized that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about you. Even when I was out on missions all I thought was about you. I love you Lance."
