"Now I finally understand why Joss acts like that when I'm with you. That guy is jealous of me" Patrik said

"To be fair, you made a dick move on Joss that's why he is pissed at you"

It is late in the afternoon and Pat and I are on the living room sitting on the couch while watching the film adaptation of 'Me Before You'

And today I decided to come clean and tell Pat what is currently going on with my life. I told him about Joss courting me.

However, I'm debating whether I should tell him about Tay. That guy is sending me too many mixed signals that I am not really sure on what is exactly going on between us.

"I am on a rush and I already apologized when I met him later that day"

"I'll talk to him. He is a nice guy"

"The question now is do you like him?" Patrik asked.

"I like him. He really is an ideal guy, the one you wanted to introduce to your parents"

"Well you have to come out on your mom and John first"

"I know. I'm just thinking of a way on how to do it"

"I may have an idea" Patrik gave me mischievous smile.

"No chance Pat! That kind of smile you're showing, I don't like it."

Whenever Pat smiles like that he is thinking of doing something ridiculous and being his bestfriend, I always ended up going along with it.

"Just hear me out first okay?!"

"Do I have a choice?" I rolled my eyes

"What if we make out and make bedroom noises till your mom and John catches us?"

"I regret coming out to you" I playfully push Pat and we both laugh.

I'm glad that I have Pat whom I can just be myself when I'm with him. The only thing is he will always tease me like this.

"New..." Patrik suddenly becomes serious

"Yeah?"

"I will always thank the universe that our paths crossed because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me"

"And you are to me too. When I was at my lowest point, you helped me pick myself up. I just can't imagine my life without you"

When Pat came here in Thailand, I felt something changed between us. I just can't point what exactly it is.

"I love you New"

"More than your secret crush?" I nudge him.

If there is one thing that Pat is keeping as a secret from me, it is his secret crush. I respect that he just wanted to keep it for himself but I still tease him every now and then.

"More than my life itself" Pat then looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

There are only a few times that Pat and I had this kind of serious conversation and it's even rare to see him this sad.

"Pat is there something you want to tell me? I hate seeing you like that. You know that you can trust me with anything"

"I do trust you. Just give me some time"

"I will and when you're ready just say so"

I was too focused on my conversation with Pat that I only noticed that the movie I was watching has ended.
