Chapter 6 - Own Rules

You woke up to the sound of your phone that sat on the bedside table to you. You couldn't think of anyone that would possibly be calling at this time.
"Hello?" you mumbled.
"(Y/N)! Reyes's team is under heavy fire, they need you there right now." A somewhat familiar voice shouted on the other end. With that said you leapt out of bed and got ready for battle without another word. You quickly ran to the hanger where the other aircraft were. As you ran to one of the craft and voice called after you.
"(Y/N)! What are you doing? It's the middle of the night?" It was Jack.
"I got a call, Commander Reyes needs me." You yelled back
"By yourself?! Can you even fly one of these ships?" He questioned.
"Lena taught me, it should be easy enough." You continued to run onto the ship with Jack following you.
"I'm not letting your ass get in trouble because of those idiots made a mistake. I'm coming with you." You both sat down in the pilot and co-pilot seat.
You memorised what Lena said about flying and found it easy to get up into the sky.

You arrived in Venice airspace with Jack.
"Jack, I will look for them from the ground, go ahead and keep an eye from the sky." You ran to the back of the ship collected what you needed to survive.
"What the hell, (y/n)! You need to stay on the ship" Jack responded landing the ship in a hidden location.
"No choice, Jack. Gotta go!" You were set up and exited the ship and began to run through the streets. You could hear Jack calling after you but you knew he couldn't leave the ship unattended.

You ran building to building trying to find any indications to where the team was. You put on your earpiece to hear anything that Jack had to say.
"(y/n), Reyes is not going to be happy with you."
"Unfortunately, Black Watch plays by our own rules, Jack" You smirked. "Now could you tell me if you see any explosions. You know who could be causing them."
"Ugh, fine. There are smoke and flairs coming from the north side of the island. I reckon you will find them if you keep moving North." Jack sighed. "How did you even know they were in trouble? Did Reyes call?" He asked.
"No...I got a phone call...wait." Nothing was adding up. And it left you dead in your tracks.
"Who called you?" Jack asked.
"I...Don't...Know, they sounded familiar but they never identified themselves...they just knew the team was in trouble..."
"You gotta keep moving, (y/n). Otherwise, you'll get caught!" Jack began to panic "(Y/N)!!!"

You looked up to find yourself surrounded by talon soldiers.
"You there! Come with us!" One of them ordered.
You said nothing.
"You better come with us kid! We don't want to hurt you."
You began to giggle before bursting into laughter. The laughter was uncontrollable, it was definitely not...you.
"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!" Another demanded.
"You really think you can hurt me? How can you hurt me when I cannot feel pain." You laughed.
A few took a step back.
"Well, that makes it easier for us then." One aimed for your leg and fired. You dodged it. That made you angry. You felt that pressure growing in your chest. 

That was the last thing you remembered before you came to, but almost all the soldiers were dead. You approached one that was still alive, grabbing them by the collar. "Send a messaged to your boss. You will never hurt this body."  Throwing them to the ground; you ran off, leaving the soldier absolutely terrified. You do not know what happened, nor did you want to know, but what was happening had something to do with those words you just said. 

The ground shook, you knew it was not good. You ran faster to the north where it came from. There they were! The team!
"Guys! I'm here!" You yelled.
"(Y/N)! What the bloody hell are you doing here?!?" Reyes yelled.
"We came to get you!"
"'WE'?!" He questioned. With that said, Jack pulled up the ship for everyone to get in.
"Get in now!" Jack Ordered.
You all ran to the ship and got the hell out of there, you were all on the ship and began flying back to base.
"(Y/N), You have a lot of explaining to do!" Reyes yelled.
"No, Reyes! You have a lot of explaining to do!" Jack retaliated

Reyes had been the interrogation room being questioned by Jack and Ana for quite some time now. You began to worry as you looked through the way one window with Jesse. You turned to look at Jesse. 

"Jesse, are you okay?" You asked you knew the answer already, he didn't need to say yet you needed to confirm that you were thinking the same. 

"Something is wrong, (y/n). Reyes didn't follow orders properly was it intentional or did the target say something that ticked him off the edge?' He said; he was thinking way too much about Reyes actions. Jesse turned to you "You never told us how you knew we were in trouble." 

You looked down at your feet. 

"It's okay, Kid. You can tell me." He reassured you, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Please" 

"I got a call on my phone, the voice was familiar so I just assumed that it was another agent...but...when I got there it didn't make sense...then they found me." 

"Who found you? What happened?" He looked concerned. 

"Talon soldiers, they wanted to take me away...but something killed almost all of them..." You began to shake, your chest began to feel heavy, not like the pressure like usual but could it be fear? guilt? You gripped your shirt above where your heart would be. 

"What killed them?" He was getting more and more worried, you could hear it in his voice. 

"I...did." You finally got it out, a sigh of relief could be heard from him. 

"Does anyone else knows what happened?" You shook your head in response. He pulled you into a hug. That heaviness on your chest disappeared. You heard the door click and Jesse released as you turned to see Ana, Reyes and Jack coming out of the room. 

"(Y/N), McCree, what are you two standing around here for?" Ana asked, this was the first time that the legendary Ana had spoken to you, you were actually surprised she knew who you were. 

"Sorry, mam. Just needed to reassure the kid that everything would be okay." He lied to them with a smile on his face. 

"Well, (y/n), follow us. We need to speak to you in private. Follow us." Ana ordered before turning to follow Jack and Reyes, leading you to what seems to be Jack's office.

Once in Jacks office, they shut the door and blinds. You sat on a chair in front of a chair, the three were on the other side of it. You knew this could go 2 possible ways. 

"(y/n)...what happened, every detail you can give between that phone call up to regrouping with Blackwatch?" Jack spoke looking at you with a kind of look like he hated your guts....there it was that feeling again.
