E,
I am sure you know now who I am,
But remember when we went ham,
Our first date didn't need a fan,
Just something else to cool...
What rhymes with fan? I'll just say us.

"The first date that didn't need a fan but still cooled yourselves down? When was this date?"

I try to remember. Suddenly, it hits me. "It was 2 weeks after school started. It was still hot as it could be. Wait, that's it! Our first date was at the pool!"

"Then let's go!"

It was 3 weeks after I met Kayden. He told me that day at the park that if I needed an adventure, he was always available for me. He even gave me his number!

It was so boring in school except when I was with him or Jor, and even boring-er at home. Finally, at around 7 o'clock, I texted him. "Hey," I said. "I'm ready for an adventure. I need it!" He replied immediately, telling me to pack an extra pair of clothing. Though I was suspicious, I agreed.

When Kayden was a block away, I came out of my room. "Hey Dad, I'm going out with Kayden,"

"On a date?"

"No, of course not!"

"You're lucky I trust Kayden. That's why I'm not asking questions," Dad says, pointing to my bag.

"You don't trust your own daughter but instead your best friend's son? Shame, papa, shame..."

He flicks his wrist at me. "He must be here, there's a car in the driveway. Be back at 10 on the dot or the police will be called."

"Yes Dad," I say while rolling my eyes. "I'm leaving!"

"Have fun, OK? And tell him I said hi!"

I shut the door behind me, breathing in the warm, but huid, air. I walk briskly down to Kayden's beautiful black Volvo and hop in the front seat.

"Hey,"

"Hey,"

"You packed your extra clothing?" He asked, glancing at me.

"Everything down to the underwear," He grins and growls a little. "Ew, you nasty!" I exclaimed, slapping his arm, but I myself couldn't hold back from wondering what he would look like in undergarments- or less.

"BLECH, GROSS!" I could practically hear Jordan throw up in the bushes.

"Anyways, where are we going?"

"It's a surprise, love," He replies with a mysterious smile. "Would you consider this a first date?"

"If we get anywhere further than friends, then absolutely." I smile up at him as his hand finds mine.

"Oh, I'm sure we will get there princess. No one is prettier, smarter, or more ticklish than you," with that, he lifts his hand from mine and squeezes my side, making me erupt in with laughter. Eventually, he stops as we near the back a long building.

"Here we are. Do you have a curfew?" Kay asks.

"10,"

"Perfect. Just enough time."

"For what?"

"You'll see,"

He leads me to a fence that encircled that property. Because he is so tall, he easily jumps over it.

"C'mon love, jump over. I'll catch you," he promises. Sighing, I carefully scale the fence, jumping into his arms. "See, love? I got you."

He leads me a little down a path as I ask, "Is this legal?"
