Waking Up

(Ruby's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes to a unfamiliar Celling. I went to get up, felt a sharp pain through my entire body.

I looked around the room I was in. It was a little run down. When I heard the sound of the door open, fear shot through my body and I started shaking uncontrollably.

The room was only lit by a candle so I couldn't see who came in, but I heard him coming closer to me. He sat a tray down on the bed and took a seat in a chair next to it.

I could see he was a shaggy white haired wolf faunus. He was missing his right ear and his left arm was a prosthetic arm. His grey eyes bore into mine making me flinch slightly.

???: What's your name?

(Y/n's POV)

I still couldn't figure out why I helped this girl. Humans are nothing but selfish animals, so why did I save this one.

Y/n: What's your name?

???: M-My name i-is R-Ruby Rose

Y/n: Can you tell me what happened to you?

Ruby flinched again and diverted her eyes from mine. She started to tear up and started shaking violently.

Something obviously bad happened, so I didn't try to push any further.

Y/n: I brought some food and water.. are you able to get up?

Ruby tried again but fell back down. She looked at me with sad eyes and shook her head.

Ruby: I-I'm sorry

Something in her eyes drew me in. I saw myself in her eyes. A helpless, weak, lonely child that never had a fair chance.

Y/n: *sigh* Ok...

I moved the tray closer and put the spoon in front of her mouth. She looked at the spoon and widened her eyes. She looked back at me and blushed.

(Ruby's POV)

I can't believe he is going to spoon feed me. I started to blush in embarrassment, but reluctantly opened my mouth. The food didn't look to appetizing, but to me it was the greatest thing in the world.

He continued to feed me and gave me a drink of water before he stood up. Before he was able to walk away I managed to grab his hand and looked back at me.

Ruby: W-What's your name?

???: Y/n, Y/n L/n

Ruby: T-Thank you Y/n

Y/n: Get some rest Ruby

He smiled at me and left the room. I closed my eyes and drift to sleep with a small smile.

(Y/n's POV)

What the hell was that!! Did I just feed her!? Why am I helping a god damn human so much!

I remembered when I looked into her eyes and saw myself. But why, what could a human have gone through that would make them be like me, a fucking Faunus, a member of society second rate citizens.

She doesn't know anything about pain. She didn't watch her mother and father die, she wasn't a slave for years and tortured.

I took deep breaths to calm down. I needed to do something to get my mind off of her. I grabbed my pistol and loaded dust into my arm before I left.
