OUR hearts were racing as the end was drawing near, all we could do was stare at the scorching sun as it burned our skin. The delirium had spread to each part of us, the anticipation akin to when we first had begun training, but now it felt as though our lives were on the line. Every sharp wave that pierced us away from each other causing us to all go different ways.

"If a flower bloomed in a dark room would you trust it?"

"Shit guys", Kenner seethed, "Cano is going mad".

Timmer's eyebrows narrowed as she shivered from the cold ocean water they were swimming in.

"Guys, I'm pretty hungry," Cano whined.

"Shut up! We are all hungry here but when was the last time you saw french fries in the ocean?" Kenner yelled.

*Aguirre cries in Mexican Braille* Timmer squinted and watched as they finally neared to some sort of land. Everyone was on the lookout, peering through the darkness of an ungodly hour to see what horrors Sargeant Salsedo had planned for them today. Cano ran back to the car because he wanted nothing to do with Sargeant Salsedo's plan, he ran in fear, disgust, and in the confusion of who that man was. Aguirre found it difficult to keep his head above the water, but did his best as the salty ocean entered his burning lungs. We were so close to finishing it, all of us were more than halfway to graduating SEAL training! Kenner grabbed onto Cano's shoulder and pulled him back just seconds before he rang that bell which could simultaneously bring a quiter's reprieve from the mind numbing exhaustion and pain, but would bring on an unimaginable amount of shame. Cano put on his big boy shoes because he was about to leave, but he could not just leave his team, his friends, his love..... Aguirre. Aguirre blew a kiss to Cano as a reward for being a "good boy".

"Ugh get a room you two," Reyes said while rolling her eyes "freaking guys with their bromance," she said under her breathe

"Guys, we are almost there! Just a few more days and we are out of this hellish place," Timmer stuttered.

As Aguirre suited with his mates to shore he thought of something

"We are the few who are ready to sacrifice their lives for their country, for their families, for their bride, but me, on the other hand, I was doing this to prove a point..."

"EVERYONE BACK TO THE COURSE! SAY AYE-AYE SIR!!!" screamed Sargeant Salsedo, making everyone flinch in terror, the pride at completing the swim overruled by fear of what was to come.

***** Time Skip*****

As the last day of training came, we all looked at each other one last time before we went to bed thinking about all the memories we made together. How we all hated but loved this place and how it drove some of us insane but it filled us with courage, discipline, and the true hallmarks of a navy seal. Timmer smiled brightly at the people who stood in front of her. Her family. She had realized that even though the experience was traumatic, she did find some amazing brothers and sisters out of it. Timmer first patted Aguirre on the back, pulling him into a hug. After a moment, everyone huddled around and we all had a heartwarming group hug. They all soon began to go their separate ways. Suddenly, a bomb blasted causing Timmer to fly a few feet away from where she originally was.

As Cano was not affected by the bomb because he was in the racks getting his stuff to leave he hears the BOMBS go off and drops everything and starts running to see what happens, he runs into Kenner and Vale and ask if they are okay and if they knew anything about what just happened.

"Looks like we are about to receive our first mission, everyone," Kenner said grimly while checking everyone for wounds. No pictures, please. Aguirre flew a few feet away from where he was standing, only suffering minor wounds. Aguirre was in deep pain, he hadn't registered what just happened yet, all he can focus on is the ringing in his ears, and the taste of peanut butter in his mouth. Aguirre wiped a thick liquid from his face, it had a metallic taste and smell. In that second he knew it could only be one thing. Blood. He prayed that it was his own. Masih groaned in irritation as she held her bleeding head, her hands were shaking from the loss of blood.

"G-guys?" Timmer questioned. She had gotten no response. Well, this was the beginning of a more interesting mission that she had ever thought.

Cano, Kenner, and Vale ran to where the bombs just went off to try to get the wounded out and into a safe place, as Kenner and Abril are carrying wounded off, Cano moved a pile of rubble and discovers Timmer under a big pile of rocks, he desperately tries to move the rocks to free her. Her head pounded and Timmer's vision blurred from the large amounts of blood she was losing. Cano fireman carried her out of the rubble and rested her back onto the broken building that was affected by the bomb.

Shit, things just got real.
