"WAKE UP!!!" I immediately said tony brothers and sister circling around them.
"It's barely even sunrise."Icekit mumbled.
"But today is the day we are finally 6 moons and now we can talk to Duststar about mentors and being apprenticed!" I squealed and at this Pinekit, Snowkit, and Icekit jumped up.
"Calm down all of you it depends on if your father thinks you're ready." Whitestorm said To us.
"I'm going to be the best fighter!" Icekit said.
"No I am!" I challenged him and then we began rolling around the nursery.
"This may take a while..." I heard Snowkit say and Pinekit agreed. I would prove them wrong and then I saw an easy way to get Icekit pinned and then we'd stop because by then if I was a real enemy he would be injured. Badly. So I slipped out from our cat tumble weed and Icekit slipped and fell onto his back and I pinned him.
"That's how it's done." I said and let go of Icekit.
"I-I let you win!" Icekit said as he wobbly regained his balance.
"Sure you did." Snowkit mewed back and Icekit stormed away.
"I think I would be best at hunting." Snowkit said and she sat down and I think just thought.. I think because she just say there and stared off into the distance. Right after I caught her attention again Duststar came in.
"You're all finally 6 moons." He said to us And we all beamed with pride.
"Can we be apprentices now?" Icekit asked.
"No, you don't even know who you want to mentor you and that's why I'm taking you around camp today to introduce you to some warriors but you must stay with me at all times." Duststar answered and we all nodded excitedly.
"When do we leave?" Pinekit asked.
"Now." He said.
"Have fun and don't wander off!" Whitestorm mewed as we left the nursery.
"We are about to enter the warrior den." Our father said and we walked in. There were around 10 cats probably warriors sitting by moss beds. A shecat with a silver pelt, dark blue eyes, and white paws came up to Snowkit and said,
"Hi I'm Silverfeather." I could tell Snowkit was a bit shy because she mewed back a quiet hi back. Then a black tom with a white tail and paws went up to Icekit and introduce himself and his name was Whitetail. He seemed pretty strong and nice, Icekit would probably want him for his mentor. Then a shecat with a honey pelt who was Duststar's sister, Honeyheart came up to Pinekit and said hi smiling. Then a tom who looked like a new warrior walked up to me and said,
"Hi I'm Swifttail." And smiled. More cats introduced themselves to us but my favorite was Swifttail especially since he knew what it was like being an apprentice recently. For some reason all of us liked the first cats we met and nothing changed that.
"I'll also show you where you'll be sleeping once you're an apprentice." Duststar said and he took us to a nearby den that had some cats almost as old as my mentor and some close to our age and in-between. On our way out I heard something that really made me mad,
"AWWW look at the tiny kits." A tom said in a taunting voice.
"They wouldn't last a day over here." Another said, it got me so mad that I turned around a little after the rest of my kin had left the den and said,
"I'll show you." And narrowed my eyes at the two cats and left. I ran a little to catch up and luckily no one noticed. We were about to go into the nursery but before we went in Duststar asked us who we wanted to be our mentors,
"Silverfeather!" Snowkit said.
"Whitetail!" Icekit said.
"Honeyheart!!"Pinekit mewed.
"Swifttail!!" I said at last.
"Okay well tonight will be your last night in the nursery, I will make the final decision on your mentors and talk to them the next ceremony will be yours tomorrow at sun high." Duststar said and after saying good bye to our mother he left.
