"Kayden leave me alone please I've heard enough of that shit from my mama" I yelled getting annoyed with his presence

"Blank Blank" K3 said in his " Da baby " voice making me laugh

"Ain't shit funny d'asia" kentrell aggressively said while coming through the front door

"Now what the fuck happend got yo mama blowing up my phone while in the studio blanking on me .. now who is this nigga you know ion playing that hitting females shit especially not my daughter"

"But you use too— ok I gotta go" k3 mumbled putting his headphones in leaving

"Yeah you do that" kentrell side eyed him then turned back to me

"Look Kendell I'm not finna be hard on you but I been through this whole thing with yo mama before so please just listen " he said I have him my undivided attention

"There's no excuse for what he did I learned that the hard way and you know that shit when I did what I did to yo mama of course I apologized but Ian expect her to take me back I never tried to put her in the wrong or make it seem like it was her fault because at the end of the day a man should never put his hands on a female mad or not " I dropped my head

"I beat myself up about that shot so bad after yo mama left me I regretted every single day but nah I wasn't gonna keep on apologizing I knew it wasn't no going back she got out when she could and never came back so please Kendell don't go through this again it ain't love he don't love you if he keep hurting you , apologizing , then repeating the whole cycle" he said as I dropped a tear making the gash under my eye burn

"Ima ask you this one time & one time only" he lifted my head making me look him me in his eyes

"How many times has he put his hands on you" he asked staring me in my souls I knew I couldn't lie that was my father he knew me like the back of his hand

"4 or 5 but daddy he didn't mean it it's my fault" I said taking up for him the bat I could

"This where you messing up at never defend a man when he's in the wrong and never blame yourself" Jania said sitting on the couch beside kentrell

"Did everything I just tell you go in one ear and out the other" kentrell straight  faced me

"I know chasten I know how he really feels" I frowned getting defensive all over again

"I'm done talking to you" kentrell got up Jania looked at me shaking her head then followed him reluctantly
