It was a boring Tuesday afternoon that I decided to call my bestfriend.
"Jessie!!!" Jessie short for Jessica. She's my bestfriend. I met her when I was six years old. From grade 1 - grade 6, we were classmates. Jessica Estrada, she's an intelligent woman.
"Oh, Eli. What's up?" And.. I am Elizabeth Renee Martin.
"What's up? Super nakakainip dito, Jes. I swear!" I can hear her laughing from the other line. "Stop laughing, Jes! Nothing's funny."
"Why would I not laugh? Para kang sira dyan! Kung naiinip ka, bakit hindi ka maglibot? FYI, Eli, super lapit niyo na lang sa mga malls no. 1 ride lang." she didn't stopped from laughing. What a nice bestfriend.
"Whatever, Jes. I'll just check my facebook na lang to kill time. I'm hanging up. Bye!"
So, I went to my room and opened my laptop to check mails and my facebook account. I was checking my newsfeed when I saw a picture of a cute little boy drinking juice. I was curious so I checked the profile who posted the picture.

He's so familliar. So I browsed his pictures. Then...
OMG! He's one of my kababata in my Mom's hometown. I missed this pretty guy, kaya hindi ako nagdalawang isip na magcomment sa picture.
Me: Hi, Pat!! Remember me? This is Eli. Is this your brother? He's so cute! :)
Then he replied agad,
Pat: ofcourse eli. i rmmber u. yup, he's my brother, chris. cute? sympre mana sa kuya. hahaha.
Me: Woooh! Hindi ka pa din nagbabago. Mayabang ka pa din.
Before I hit the enter button, his name popped up in my chatbox.
Pat: uy, eli. kmsta na?
Me: i'm good, ikaw?
Pat: same same. can i get ur number? aalis na kasi ako eh.
Me: sure. here.. 0975*******
Pat: ok. i'll text you na lang. bye!
before I got the chance to reply, he's off na kaya I didn't bother na.
I waited for his text to come. pero wala.
Days passed.
Weeks.
Okay.. Stop waiting, Eli. I told to myself.
Hindi pa rin talaga nawawala yung pagkainfatuated ko kay Patrick kahit ilang years ko siyang hindi nakita. So what? Crush lang naman. I doesn't mean anything.
But deep inside me, I'm still waiting for that text that I know will never come.
