9. disbelief

Back at the temple

Ruby's face was red and her nose was bleeding as the woman in the room chuckled at her lord. Ruby on the other hand was trying to come to terms at what is happening. So she made up a excuse to get out of her situation "uhhh...well...I'm hungry!...yeah hungry!!..can't do anything on a empty stomach!!" With that ruby ran out of the room leaving albedo. Albedo looked confused but after awhile chuckled at her lord's new demeanor. "Lord momonga I may not have won you before but now...." Albedo said with a lustful smile growing on her face "...now you are mine ".

After she said that she looked down at her figure and gave a look of disappointment. "Don't worry lord ainz I'll be back to my beautiful form for you soon" she said thinking of ways to get back her slender form for her lord. She scowled at herself for tainting her form and making her less appealing to her love. She did not think to hard on it and walked out of the room and hehead toward the throne room. She was humming to herself as she walked down the halls.

Ruby's pov

I ran down the massive halls of this place it seemed to go on forever. Many doors and paintings zoomed past me as I ran down the halls. I began to get tired so I decided to slow down and walk down the hall, as I walked down the highly decorated halls I couldn't help but admire the decor. The walls were lined with paintings of many different creatures that ruby didn't know but she got the feeling that she knew these beings. The floor was lined with a red rug with gold accents. I noticed the huge amount of gold that was used in most of the furniture and walls. Everything seemed to gleam as I walk by, I was in awe at how beautiful everything looked.

This reminded me of those stories  about a dragons horde with seas of gold and artifacts. This is not as big but the similarities were on point, at the moment I bumped into someone at my admiration of the architecture. "Sorry I. ...uh." I said as I looked up to see a man with yellow military clothing with a jacket hung over his solders. He looked well decorated and there seemed to other a single spec of dirt on him he looked like the idle soldier. Say for his face if I could call it that his 'face' was merely composed of three dots on a blank canvas of a head.

I don't know why I started referring to him as a male even though he was obviously not human but I felt inclined to call him a he. That is strange, I feel like that should be strange, but it feels all to familiar for me like I know him inside and out. Like currently I'm preparing to facepalm at any minute " Oh lord ainz! Your awake! This is glorious to see my gorgeous  creator!!" He said in a dramatic tone while making a pose with him grabbing his hat and bowing before me. Yup totally mentally facepalming right now, this guy's pose was embarrassing to say the least I sighed and concluded that this was going to be a loooooong day. So I might as well great him before he thinks I'm ignoring him.

Strange I'm thinking differently then I normally do, but for now let's great this guy. "Uuuuhhh hi?" I said cautiously trying not to offend him. "Oh my overlord !! You are incandescent as always! Radiant!!, powerful!!, intelligent!!, the true embodiment of a leader" he said all the while doing various poses. Wow this guy is like those strange people from the room, but he was so overly dramatic. I wanted to tell him to stop but he seemed like a nice guy, so I decided to leave him be. "Yeah... umm so how have you been" I facepalmed at my stupidity.
