2.magic staff and bitter betrayal

Yang pov

MY heart stopped and the world seemed to halt at that very moment when he said those words. I was mix of emotions I felt anger, fear, confusion, and most of all sadness came rushing toward me a hundred miles per minute. He wanted me to kill Ruby one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet and my only sister. I ran up to him and slammed my hands onto his desk, to Ms. Goodwitch's surprise who was surprisingly silent during the conversation. Ozpin looked at me with blank face showing no emotion what's so ever.

Me: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!?

Weiss: yang calm dow....

Weiss tried to stop me to only be greeted with the back hand. She fell down due to the force of how hard I hit her. Then a purple aura surrounded me, for me to look and to see Ms.Goodwitch using her semblance on me with a pissed look on her face. I growled at her and she held me there. Blake looked in shock as I could tell, Weiss began to recover from the hit, and ozpin still had a stoic look and watched not even flinching.

Ozpin: If you are calm miss Xiao Long may I continue?

I had no choice in the matter even though I want to punch him in the face right now.

Yang looked at the snow as they walked the slick stone path to the temple wondering if this is the right thing to do. As they progressed on the path began to widen into a huge bridge with statues of people. The team had trouble seeing the huge temple at the other end of the bridge. It was massive with huge pillars in the front that looked worn and dated with giant ice Sickles hanging down from the roof of the huge stone temple. The team felt scared at the sight of the building, but oddly for Ruby felt comfortable at the sight.

Ruby: c...c.c..come ....o..on ..you guys it is probably warmer inside or at least less windy!!

Ruby said walking further toward the entrance of the temple unknowing that someone or something was watching them arrive. In the shadows they're stood a figure wearing a military uniform and hat dramatically looking on at they're arrival.

'Could it be' I thought to myself sensing power similar to my creator ainz ool gown. It seemed to be coming from the leader of the group as I watched with a pair of my finest binoculars. All of them thought I was crazy in believing that my creator would not return called it " false hope" But look at me now the first one to greet our lord. I was so excited that I did a victory pose in triumph, I could feel his ...or her power grow as she nears the staff. I have waited over 90 years in this harsh cold mountains guarding his staff so one day he could reclaim it and rule once again.

It goes that I am not the only one here for say the two dark elf twins mare and aura are here as well. They are my comrades even if it seems bleak and pointless but they had been determined to stay. Now I must warn them and prepare for the overlord's arrival. Then I the treasurer of the oh so great Tomb of Nazerick, and the charming knight who waited for his lord along with his companions. I am the one and only....

Rubies pov

Me and the team were getting closer to the temple, I was in awe at the size of it. At the corner of my eye I saw that others seemed more tense than usual and they seemed to take brief glances at me every so often. Even yang, yang of all people she has not said a single word. Though I can't stand her puns but you know that somthing is wrong when she stops making puns. On the other hand we are on a mountain practically freezing to death. I just hope that this place is warm on the inside.

We stood in the door way of the giant entrance to this ancient master piece. I look back at my team and Weiss was holding a strange device in her hand but when I asked about it she said it was to monitor the weather. I doubt that but I do not want to get the ice queen mad. My ears still hurt from the last time I asked her what she was doing and she stayed quite so I kept pushing and well accidentally burned her homework.

Me: Is everyone alright?

I asked with my voice echoing off the walls, Blake looked at everyone but nodded and said.

Blake: yeah we're fine.

Huh I thought Weiss would interrupt and complain about the conditions but she was silent and holding that device and pointing at me with it and she seemed shocked. She was talking to yang as she was looking at it, I was interested in what they were saying but somthing caught my eye. It was shiny so I followed it I was drawn toward the entrance way with staues depicting many people bowing and begging to some devine entity. I paid no mind to them like I was being drawn to this one room. As I entered it I saw the staff , I progressed on like the staff was asking me to take it up and wield it.

In a matter of minutes I stood before it and stood there looking at it's beuty. For many minutes the world went blank and the staff and me were the only ones in the world. It was floating on a pedestal it was fitting for it and all it majestic integrity. I opened my hand and to my surprise it floated into my hand and I grasped it and I felt a serge of power go threw my body. This feeling stayed a while but died down and did the next thing I could do give it a name. So I began to say possible names for it naming a list of roses to call it.

Me: hmm... blaze...no..uhhh hybrid tea? No no..

As I was thinking of it I heard footsteps coming behind me. I looked back and saw my team having they're weapons out and walking toward me with menacing looks. I smiled and held the staff up .

Ruby: guys guys I got the staff!!
