Lucifer lounged back in the red velvet arm chair. The crackling pop of the pointless fire place reflected in her crystal blue eyes.

She had her plan. She had been dwelling on it all day.

Lucifer raised a glass to her lips and sipped the sweet nectar from it. The red liquid staining her lips.

Two empty chalices sat on the dark, wooden table beside her. Her guests would have to drink from them, her deal required complete obedience from them. She couldn't risk anything.

Solomon knocked gently against the wooden frame of the entrance. "Milady, your guests have arrived."

Although her back was to him, she could sense his uneasiness and feel the sadness in his soul. She smiled softly to herself, "Thank you Solomon, my loyal companion."

Solomon grinned to himself and fixed his cuff-links. After straightening up his looks, Solomon gracefully opened the large mahogany doors.

Chains clattered against each other and the soft shuffle of feet alerted Lucifer that it was finally time to put the deal on the table. Demon guards flanked the two mortals as they entered the room. Few scattered to the edges of the room, standing attentive guarding every exit, window and balcony. Four guards stayed beside her guests as Solomon strolled over to Lucifer's side, kissing her hand gently before crossing his arms and leaning against the back of her arm chair.

Lucifer smiled wickedly and welcomed her guests, "Eve, Diogenes, many thanks for accepting my invitation." She cried as she strut purposely over toward them, arms out stretched.

Eve stood tall, even in rags and chains she still strives to hold dignity. Stupid girl.

"Lucifer," she asked calmly with a smile, "what is the meaning of this... invitation?" Lucifer read her soul, filled with caution and curiosity. As expected.

"Well you see my Eve," Lucifer started, sensing Solomon tensing, "I wanted some company. This palace gets lonely from time to time."

Eve looked at her unimpressed.

"Solomon is marvelous company, yes. Oh Aurora and Silvanus are excellent too but you see, the same people over and over again," Lucifer heaved a heavy sigh, "just become boring."

Diogenes looked mortified by her statement. Oh what scared child he had become in his first 3 days of being here. His soul screamed fear, it tasted wonderful.

"Thus I feel the need to, oh how do you humans put it... switch things up?" Lucifer's eyes gleamed with excitement while Eve's and Diogenes's dulled with fear.

Eve straightened herself, "What scheme are you planning now Lucifer?"

The edges of Lucifer's lips creased into a mischievous smirk, "It's time for a new punishment my dear."

Eve faulted, her jaw coming loose from her lips. Slowly her knees started to tremble, then her ankles and then her shoulders, each movement infecting another part of her body until her whole soul was vibrating with fear.

This time Diogenes was the one to speak, "Why am I here?" His voice was small but it held it's purpose.

"Your purpose," Lucifer snarled, "in this matter is that of one which is of up most importance..", Diogenes held still as Lucifer stepped towards him, raising the nail of her forefinger to his chin, "to me."

Lucifer grabbed his chin and forced his head down, "Kneel before me mortal."

Solomon smiled delightfully as Lucifer forced Diogenes to his knees and Eve stood in a paralyzed state. Oh how he loved watching torture.

"You," Lucifer's voice boomed around the room, "Diogenes Alexopoulos are to take Eve, Wife of Adam, Bearer of Mortal Sins, Mother of Humanity's, torture away." Eve looked at Lucifer with fear and confusion to which the Queen of Hell replied with glowing red eyes. "Diogenes will take Eve's place in the Garden of Eden for 20,000 years while Eve is given a new punishment."

Lucifer flicked her wrist and let fire fly from her fingers tips. Bright rings circled around Diogenes and Eve, the heat burning their skin.

Solomon, who was still standing behind Lucifer, flinched at the site of the fiery rings as he knew the pain of a punishment curse far to well.

Lucifer's eyes glowed brighter with the circles, she flicked her wrist again and pentagrams burned into the floor beneath Eve and Diogenes, "Recite the ancient oath, allowing the curse to flow through you." Although it was Lucifer's mouth moving, it was not just her voice filling the rooms silence.

The demonic guards that had encircled the room stood ridged and disjointed. Their voices spilling from their lips into Lucifer's throat. They were not their own being, they served their master with full body and soul, lending their strength and voice to her willingly.

"Take thy soul," Lucifer chanted as her eyes changed from the blood shade of red to a sinister green, "take thy light," Eve and Diogenes stiffened and their throats ached as they fought the curse being inflicted upon them, "grant thy passage into thine sight," Eve let out a shrieking cry before doubling over, "thou hast no doubt of which I am loyal," Diogenes's throat felt like it was on fire until he gasp for breath and his voice escaped him, "thine punishment is mine," Eve and Diogenes chanted the curse with Lucifer, "and mine to hold."

Eve and Diogenes lost all control of their souls as they repeated the chant over and over. Each time they repeat the curse the fire burned brighter, their skin charred and throats stung.

Solomon tensed but kept a blank face as he watched the ritual unfold. He braised himself when Lucifer drew her nightmare black dagger from it's sheath. He stood ridged when she issued the blood binding to the Greek Sinner and the Mother of Humanity. He swallowed his tongue when Lucifer made Eve and Diogenes drink the Unholy Wine. He blocked memories from his mind when Lucifer called for the Transporters, pitch black beings with rotting bat like wings who take the damned and tortured to and from places in Hell. He averted his eyes when Diogenes's slack body was dragged away by the Transporters and Eve was chained to the floor with chains of molten rock. He shivered when the smell of Eve's burning flesh filled the room and no emotion played on her face.

Solomon watched what he could until he could no longer bare anymore.

He may be Lucifer's right hand but he was still mortal and there were somethings Lucifer did that not even he could stomach.
