It started off with stress,
trying to make everyone proud.
She gradually became overwhelmed,
with the desire to please the whole crowd.
She then had doubts,
of whether she was good enough.
She criticised herself and everything she did wrong,
even all the little stuff.
She would constantly nag at herself,
trying to obtain perfection.
But she coudn't help but
always hate her reflection.
She tried to bottle up her emotions,
but she needed to confess.
That the burdens she carried on her shoulder.
were slowly making her depressed.
Emotionally:
She was done,
She felt trapped, contained.
But the pain had only begun.
Mentally:
She was drained.
She had unintentionally
put her feelings under restraint.
Spiritually:
She felt dead.
Her head contained voices, mean ones,
and her heart contained dread.
Physically:
She put on a smile.
She told some jokes,
and made others feel good for awhile.
