4- Torture

Now awake and aware of his situation, Joe was stuck. He had no way of getting out, and there was no way Cody knew he were in Atlantis he was. Dagger was now walking to a shelf with one dim light above it and a shiny object, which from his position, looked like a knife. Joe was frozen when Dagger turned around with a long butcher knife that gleamed in the dim light. Joe tried to struggle out of his ropes and scramble away, while Dagger was walking towards him. The next time Joe looked up, the blade was at his neck.

"I'd stop moving if I were you." KrakenKid said coming down the ladder that must of led down here. "Or, well, you can see what'll happen."

"Kraken! You were supposed to be keeping an eye out for Codyon!" Dagger snapped, still holding the blade to his neck.

"I was, but, Cody and his family don't know we're in the outskirts now." He answered his older brother. Joe was on the outskirts! Now his hopes of getting back home were very low. "Anyway, how long has he been up?"

"10 minutes at most. He's weak." Dagger pushed the blade against Joe's neck harder than before. "And a scaredy-fish, by the looks of it." He removed the knife from his neck, and stabbed it into his arm. Joe couldn't scream in pain, but in his mind he could. Tears streamed down Joe's face as he squeezed his eyes shut and tried to block out the pain, but it wasn't working. 

"Pathetic."

"Agreed little brother" Dagger said. He ripped the knife out of Joe's arm and dropped it by him. "Let's go wait for 'our majesty'." The two disappeared up the ladder and left, badly injured, Joe in the dark once more.

About 5 minutes latter, Joe could hardly feel the pain. He looked at the knife and managed to move it to the reach of his hand, and picked it up. He turned it so the blade to the ropes and started cutting. The ropes fell off from his arms, then he cut the tape off his beak also cutting his beak. He stood up, and looked around. He knew the brothers would be standing at the top of the ladder, so that wasn't an option. 

He noticed a light behind him, and once he turned around to look at it, he was face to face with a slightly lit tunnel. Without thinking, he bolted down the tunnel. "Help! Help!" He yelled, after he was a good way down the tunnel. Joe came to a big room with a large crystal in the middle, and that's where he neared it.

"Hello?!" A voice called back. It sounded like a girl. But Joe didn't care who it was, as long as it wasn't the Krakens.

"Hello? Can you help me? I was kidnapped and I'm trying to get back home." A girl appeared from behind the crystal. She looked a little like Joe, but had feathered wings slightly outstretched and a feathery tail. Joe didn't know what to think. She stood nearly as tall as him, and they looked into each other's eyes.
