As Kelly looked around, she breathed in the clean hot air of southern Texas. Smelling the sweet concoctions of the hibiscus that she had planted in front of her little town home. Kelly walked over and briefly touched the soft petals of her red hibiscus. Walking back into her home, she turned towards the kitchen where she left her hot tea brewing on the counter. She threw the used teabag into the trash and went to sit in 'Old Faithful' her chair that her mother had left her when she moved into the next apartment over.

Kelly looked at her schedule to see which of her clients orders were due today. Adele's 'Someone Like You' was playing through her Bose sound system she had hooked up in her living room. Kelly sighed as she reminisced on the good old days of her high school.

"How in the hell did I get stuck in this washed up town?" Kelly asked herself.

Kelly had ambitions to move to a big city and, sell her fashion designs and make it big but, fate had her other ideas in store for Kelly. She rented a small space in town to sell her designs to the town folk. Kelly had always thought that she had more potential than to just sell her creations in her small town that she grew up in. Kelly had once had the opportunity to go big with her last boyfriend. He and Kelly were supposed to head out to the big city to sell her designs but, when the time came for them to leave Kelly found out that her boyfriend had been sleeping around on her. She cut him off and, has been stuck here ever since.

It's not that Kelly was horribly upset she was here because she had friends here and, she had her mother still here but she just wished for more. All of her friends were now married and she stood in every one of their weddings but, they also had children and Kelly longed for children.

It's been five years since her and he-who-will-not-be-named broke up and, she was starting to feel like she'd never find love or that special someone to settle down with. As more time passed the more she began to accept her fate and, she wanted nothing more than to not accept it.Kelly's phone began to ring bringing her out of her daydreaming.

"Hello?" Kelly answered.

"Hey girl! You at the shop yet? I have some news to tell you that I feel you'd be interested in!" Her best friend Heather rushed excitedly over the phone. Kelly smiled and said she'd be at the shop in fifteen minutes and, would meet her there. Grabbing her towel she headed for the shower to start her day.

After taking care of her hygiene, she decided to wear one of her creations which was a short glitter wrap dress. She paired it with her nude gladiator sandals. Her cat, Cleo, came around the corner and rubbed on her leg in greeting.

"Well good morning Princess Cleo, how are you this morning?" Kelly asked Cleo with a smile. She responded with a chirpy meow and sat at Kelly's feet.

"Ah yes, the morning petting, how could I forget?" Kelly laughed. She scooped Cleo up into her arms and began petting her and, causing her to purr. After about five minutes of petting Cleo she set her on the ground and told her she'd be back later. Locking the front door Kelly headed towards her 2013 Chevrolet Cruze LS. Getting into the car she reversed and drove to her shop.

Kelly parked in her assigned parking spot and jumped out of her car to open shop. She had a ton of work to do in order to get her clients orders ready. Unlocking the door Heather popped up from the right side thoroughly scaring Kelly enough to jump and drop her keys to the ground.

"Oh...Oh my gawd! You should've seen your face Kelly!" Heather said holding her stomach from laughing so hard. Kelly rolled her eyes and walked into her store. Greeted by the sweet smell of Gardenia essential oils she leave running in the shop, she walked to her computer and booted it up. Looking around the shop she realized that she definitely needed to reorganize a lot of her merchandise.
