aleena avoided calum at all costs, and calum did the same. it hurt too much for both of them to face each other; aleena couldn't bare to see the boy she loved the most love someone else- little did she know it was her- and calum felt guilty to even breathe the same air as her.
they both had a deep void in their soul that had to be filled with the presense of the magnificent other, but they just couldn't. they had a skinny love with each other.
even the boys wanted them to speak to each other. they told aleena and calum to meet at ashton's house- not telling both of them that the other was coming- and once aleena set eyes on calum, she bursted into tears and locked herself into the bathroom. calum sat there, sobbing into ashton's arms. it was a melancholic mess.
aleena tugged on her sweater, deciding to go for a walk. she slipped on her brown fuzzy slip-ons and headed out the door with her phone and keys in her pocket.
the cold wind blew through, hitting the bare skin of her face and neck that was unprotected by her hair, which was slipped into a messy bun.
she walked to the park, observing the little children with their parents running around the playground or flying a kite. aleena proceeded to the bushes, pulling branches of trees out of the way to reveal a path.
aleena stepped onto the path, following the trail. she didn't know why she was going this way, she didn't even know it existed.
then she remembered her dream.
- flashback -
"remember the park near our house? i found a hiding spot there. you just go through the bushes and follow the trail, and there is a beautiful pond with flowers and birds, and the light shines perfectly, it's beautiful, just like you."
- flashback over -
aleena gasped and kept walking. who said that in her dream? was is michael? luke? calum? ashton?
it could've been ashton, but aleena doesn't live with ashton, and ashton doesn't live near a park.
it could've been michael or luke, since they live close by and the person said "our", referring to two people that lived in the house, but never said if it was possesed by muke or her.
it wouldn't have been calum's because-
wait.
where did calum live?
aleena urged to think harder, still walking on the path. she doesn't remember the way home from calum's house.
aleena shrugged it off. it's just a stupid dream, she thought to herself.
she kept her head down, eyes trailing over the rocks and pebbles that layed flat on the dirt.
she started to see that the dirt was becoming wet, and she looked up from the damp soil, her eyes widening at what she had saw.
there was a small pond, flowers scattered all around the perimeter. tiny birds scampered around the trees, hiding in the shade, or having a sip of water. there was no sun out, so she couldn't see the rays shine.
aleena sat down on her bum, atop of a flower patch. she sighed, blowing the bland, dull hair out of her pale complexion.
her hair was dry and boring, unlike calum's jet black hair with newly blonde streaks he made last week, which look hot with bed hair.
she looked around, searching in desperation for inspiration. a lavender butterly flew by, blending in with the snowy white sky.
aleena smiled, jumping up and running off to her house.
