Arashi stood in front of the council, back in the hokage's office. "Hokage-sama, I'd like to formally adopt Naruto. "
This caught the ire of the civilians. "Surely a shinobi of your caliber wouldn't associate with trash like that?"
Arashi eyed the woman who said that. Her voice really rubbed him the wrong way and the pink hair made his head hurt. "Technically being an Uzumaki makes us related anyway. He also shows signs of Uzumaki blood."
"What signs?" Shikaku asked curiously, as far as he knew red eyes and hair were the signs.
"A heightened healing factor and large reserves. Normally you could argue that those are because of his burden, but the eight trigram seal is made stronger than any other and the boy would have to draw it's chakra out through extreme emotional turmoil or asking the creature directly. This is because the seal matrix sets itself up like a self repairing dam and whenever it is loosened it tightens itself back through the use of the shinigami sealing techniques and-" He stopped when he noticed the blank looks that meant most had no idea what he was talking about. "Sorry... Uzumaki have natural talent with seals so sealing that sounds simple to me, may not be for you. What I meant was the seal is too strong to affect him physically with the small amount it leaks. The kid is ten years old and has jonin level reserves, and has never trained. That is a product of our bloodline."
Hiashi grew curious and activated his byakugan, looking at the man's chakra system. "K-Kami..." His chakra system was three times thicker than average, much brighter, had white hot chakra points, and it's center looked like a small supernova, barely being contained. "This man's chakra... it's much more potent than any chakra I've ever seen."
Arashi nodded. "Oh? Yeah, you Hyuuga see chakra, must be a cool feeling to see in all directions and through genjutsu..."
The Hyuuga patriarch nodded. "Very... um... cool..." looking at his chakra he noted that it functioned by pulling in a strange nearly invisible type of chakra and storing it near the top of his back in what looked like a seal, while any excess was converted to regular chakra that constantly went into his chakra coils.
"Alright Arashi-dono, you are hereby Naruto's legal guardian. We will re-open the Uzumaki estate for you to live in and you will have access to your clan vault, as only an Uzumaki can open the blood seals anyway." Hiruzen then waved a hand. "Council dismissed."
Arashi left quietly, stopped by Hiashi Hyuuga. "Would you like help finding Naruto-san?"
Arashi grinned. "Sure, I was just gonna go into my Sage Form and find him, but you'll save me from scaring him half to death with the yellow eyes and black markings all over me. Thanks, uh... what was your name again?"
"Hiashi Hyuuga. " thick veins appeared around his eyes and he pointed. "Approximately one and a half mile that way, he's in the woods with an anbu...and my daughter? Let us go." Hiashi sounded slightly annoyed.
Arashi nodded, sticking his hands in his pockets.
_______________________Hinata was sitting, and happily listening to Naruto as he talked animatedly about how powerful a ninja he was going to be.
"Hey brat, ya took off." Arashi called out, smirking at the young boy. "Made a friend, huh? What's your name, princess?"
Hinata blushed at the elder Uzumaki. "H-Hinata Hyuuga... it's very n-nice to meet you."
Hiashi came into the clearing with a raised eyebrow. "Daughter, you seem less withdrawn. I'll expect to see a difference in your training."
Arashi looked over to see the young girl look away in disappointment. "Hiashi-sama, if I may make a suggestion. I'm going to start training Naruto tomorrow, I believe Hinata would benefit greatly from this training as well."
Hiashi looked at him apprehensively. "How would you know how to train a Hyuuga?"
"I may not have byakugan or know your fighting style, but I can teach her to control her emotions, be more confident, and increase her overall strength." As well as strengthen her byakugan with my mutations... Arashi smiled, thinking he'd done well in his explanation.
Hiashi thought for a moment. "Would you be willing to bet on it? If you lose you allow me to place a caged bird seal on you and you become a servant to the main branch."
Arashi narrowed his eyes. "Caged bird seal? The hell is that?"
"A seal that we place on branch clan members that gives us the ability to inflict unbearable pain or even kill them to keep them in line. Doing this would make you our weapon." Hiashi explained coldly.
Arashi was appalled and angered at the idea of such a seal. "Fine...but if I win I will personally strip every caged bird seal and kill any who try to replace it."
"Very well." In truth, Hiashi actually wanted a way to break the seal, but it would take someone of unparalleled talent with seals to crack it without killing the victim. Hiashi hoped that Arashi could help him and that the elders wouldnt kill him for this.
Arashi failed to mention he could easily undo any seal they put on him, so he wasnt worried.
