Arashi shot through the dust cloud, grabbing Naruto by the shirt and hurling him towards Shikamaru.

Hinata's palm slammed into Arashi's back, then shook her hand, it felt like she'd slapped a steel beam.

Arashi spun and backhanded her, sending her rolling across the ground.

His left arm morphed, a canon like looking appendage growing from his forearm.

Then he began firing beams of bright blue energy that seared into the ground.

Shadows landed up his body and halted his movements, followed by Naruto going through hand seals directly in front of him.

"I thought I taught you better than that, Naruto..." he ripped the shadows off of himself and drop kicked Naruto in the face.

Naruto exploded in a plume of smoke, making Arashi's eyes widen. Then an air blast hit his back and made him stumble.

I'm holding back nearly all this form's real power but still, not bad.

An arrow slammed into his forehead, only unlike the other one, this one detonated, enveloping him in a massive explosion.

Naruto landed next to Hinata, "We get him?"

She cut a sideways glance at him as if to say, 'You think it would be that easy to beat him?'

Shikamaru landed beside them, "This guy is crazy strong... Naruto, do that wind jutsu again, then you and Hinata rush him while hes dazed.

They only hesitated for a second before Naruto flipped through the seals quickly.

Arashi waved his arm, dispersing the dust cloud.

"Windstyle: Gale Palm!" A blast of air the size of his head blew from his mouth and slammed into Arashi's chest, making him slide backwards.

Hinata and Naruto blurred forward towards Arashi, only for him to turn into a fiery explosion before they got too close and Shikamaru smirked.

Then he slapped his palms together, his shadow went out in all directions just as Arashi appeared behind him.

"Now that I know you can overpower the normal shadow possessing jutsu, I know to use more chakra." The shadows turned thick and circled his body like ropes.

Arashi laughed, "Can't hold it for long, kid, what then?"

Hinata ran over, fingers glowing with lightning chakra.

Arashi smirked as she began attacking his tenketsu. He could've technically overpowered the three of them in an instant, but he needed to see them preform. They were good. Very good for their age.

Alas, its time to end the charade. He snapped the shadow possession jutsu like it was made of tissue paper and caught Hinata's wrists with his left hand and reared his other hand back as if to strike her. Naruto caught his arm, "No, you big ginger asshole!"

Arashi scoffed and spun, hurling them both in different directions. "You guys do know that I'm only using like five percent of my full strength. Watch."

Then he moved.

Naruto was blown back, something impossibly fast hit his gut.

At the same time, Hinata fell unconscious with a chop to the neck.

Then he appeared in front of Shikamaru and flicked him in the forehead, hurling him back like he'd been hit with a tac hammer.

An hour later Naruto woke up, tied to a training dummy along with his teammates.

"Oi! Why are we tied up?" He cursed at Arashi, who was sitting by a small fire.

Arashi glanced over at him, "Because you guys did pretty well. Had you done shitty you would be tied upside down."

A third grey arm grew from his shoulder and hurled a sharp bone spike that looked like it was made of a metallic substance into the ropes and then went back into his body.

Arashi breathed out heavily. "Growing an extra arm is so unusual."

"And disgusting." Naruto commented, getting a funny look, "You're just jealous, blondey."

Naruto looked out into the forest, "what time is it? Everything looks funny..."

"Its eight fifteen. Sun set while you were getting your beauty sleep. Notice anything off?"

Naruto narrowed his eyes, he could see as easily into the darkness as if it were daytime. "What the hell?"

"Graduation present. Team five is now permanently enhanced." Arashi pointed at his pupils, which were elongated like a cat's. "Eyes like a cat to see in the dark. Happens naturally when you're faced with darkness. Denser bones, stronger muscle fibers, and enhanced healing for all three of you. I also gave each of you a more unique ability to go with your fighting styles. You Naruto can already slow things down with your mind but it was dependant on your adrenaline. I fixed it so you can just will it t ok go slower. What will look like a second or two to us, can be much longer for you. Shikamaru can now go into his shadows, for faster movements. Hinata no longer has a blind spot and can see for farther than the original byakugan was meant to. There's a second stage to it that I've unlocked for her as well."

"That's troublesome. Why give us powers like that?" Shikamaru asked, snapping the ropes that been holding him.

Arashi grinned, "They're gifts. But they feed on natural chakra, run out and they deactivate until your body has time to absorb it again. Now... Who's ready for D-rank missions?"
