It was already five weeks since Jane appeared out of nowhere and moved inside Ajay's house. Throughout the time she had learned a lot about Kyrat and over all how everything worked. She even started talking less formally, maybe here and there a cuss word would slip out of her lips whenever she would trip on someting or even accidentally fall off the ladder located inside of the house. The boys overall cherished her and spend a lot of time learning about Shangri-la and her culture.
Ajay and her decided to name both the elephant and tiger, seeing as they will be staying with them. The tiger was named Panja which ment claw in Hindi and the elephant's name was Shaanti, meaning patience. Usually both of the animals will roam around the outside with the exception of Panja who has access to the inside of the building, often sleeping in Jane's bed or sitting by her side.
Ajay also came to notice that Yogi started visiting more often which was very suspicious considering the fact that he talked to him about being terrified of the giant bengal tiger roaming the house. Even tho he complained about the beast, Ajay almost always found him sitting in the same room as Jane and Panja.
Finally one day it clicked... Ajay was comming back from meeting with Sabal and expected for Jane to be most likely reading one of her books again with Panja laying at her feet, ocasonally brushing his head against her... And when he walked in he saw exactly what he thought except for one small detail...
Yogi was sitting together with Reggie not so far away.
Reggie was trying to explain something to Yogi, probably something about one of his newest "herbs" but instead of listening to him, Yogi was staring longingly at Jane, occasionally nodding so it would look like he was listening to everything that his friend was saying...
It was so obvious... How did he not notice it before?
Yogi had it bad for Jane... He was in love.
"Hello Ajay" The female greeted smiling at him while still looking at the pages of her book. Ajay started thinking...
Even tho it was nearly impossible to not see the pure attraction Yogi felt for her he still wanted to be completely sure. So he came up with very simple test...
He walked over to where Jane was sitting and instead of verbally greeting her he kissed her on the forehead, glancing at Yogi in the process... What he saw confirmed his assumption. The young male was practically glaring daggers at him, jealousy written all over his face.
Smirking, Ajay pulled away and patted her head and climbed up the ladder afterwards. He was planning on getting Yogi and Jane together. She in fact told him about liking Yogi from the first time they met and seeing as the male felt the same why not push them in the right direction? But first he needed a little help from a certain someone...
"Reggie? Can you come up here for a sec? I need to talk with you" Ajay yelled, soon hearing the floorboards creak and someone climbing up "What can I do for ya Mister Ghale?" Reggie cheerfully smiled, awaiting any kind of instructions he might get "Have you noticed how weirdly has been Yogi acting lately?" His friend questioned subtlelly "You mean like a love sick puppy?" The shorter male responded with another question, sarcasm noticeable in his voice "So you know..."
"Of course I know. It's so obvious that he likes her! When I ask him he always shoots me down and then I see him staring at her like he is about to jump on her" Reggie angrily mumbled, remembering when his bestie snapped at him "That is why I actually called you up here. I want them to realize that they like each other but I need your help Reggie"
At that the said male smirked, happiness completely taking over his features "Oh this will be good... We are gonna be like some secret wingmen. We should get some code names... How about bacon strip and potato chip?" Reggie started naming everything that came to his mind but Ajay stopped him, covering his loud mouth with his hand "Reggie, Reggie. I need you to go outside with Jane so I can talk to our loverboy, understood?"
The male nodded and saluted, rushing down the ladder as he tried to hide his excitement "Jane? Could you come with me outside? I think Shaanti wants to see ya" Jane looked up and giggled, placing her book down and following her friend, not noticing Yogi watching her hips sway as she walked. When he was not paying any attention to his surroundings Ajay came down and sat right next to him...
"So Yogi... I noticed that you are very fond of our little Jane~" He innocently stated, seeing Yogi's eyes widen and cheeks flush a little as he turned towards him "W-what?" Yogi tried to play dumb, note the word tried... Embarrassment was written all over his face and his ears changed their color to light pink "Oh come on man... Anybody can see it. With all the lovey-dovey glances you throw at her, I am surprised you still havent said anything"
Ajay watched with an amused smile as his friend started flailing his arms around "I-I can't do that, are you crazy? She is such a magnificent sacred being and I am just... me" Yogi's head lowered at his words, sadness evident in his downcasted eyes. Ajay starred at him for a while and then stood up "well if you like her you should hurry up and tell her" The shorter male rose as well and rushed to his friend who was about to climb up the ladder again...
"wait wait wait... Why? what if I do not tell her?" He shook his friend's shoulders, demanding to get an answer as soon as possible "Reggie was talking to me the other day saying that he would like to ask her out because he is quite interested in her..."
Right after Ajay finished his sentence Yogi went into panic mode few cusswords flying out of his mouth as her ran to his and his friend's tent, desperately trying to find both his best friend and the woman he was in love with...
