Daniel was far from well known at his highschool. Well, by the people that might've treated him well.

Like most people similar to him, he was bullied. Dan was also what you would call mute... which didn't really help with the bullying. "Howell." A scruffy, thin boy walked up to Dan, his dusty blonde fringe covering his face. "How was summer break? I mean, we didn't talk the whole time!"

Dan's POV

This is Alex. The kid that constantly follows me, and comes on a bit strong. Although he is a freshman, he looks like he's 12... "Hey," I mutter, secretly hoping he heard me. "It was fine. Y'know, besides Emilie-" My heart sinks as I look up to see people gathered- around what seems to be an easel?

A vandalized photo of Emilie. Not just a photo, but one, of many, missing person flyers. I spent weeks those handing out! Stapling all over town, taping to shop windows, all I could do! "Stop!" a police officer, dressed in all navy stopped Alex and I. "Daniel James Howell," he towered over me. I was shocked because I'm over 6 feet tall. "You know who did this?" he raised his voice with every word.

"N-no, sir..." Sigh, my stutter was showing through. The police officer studied me, his eyes scanning every inch of my body. "Stand in that line." he's pointing to the crowd of people around the photo. I quickly walk over and sit on the floor, my back against the brick wall. I grab my phone out of my pocket, along with my earbuds.

"No phones allowed!" The officer looks back at me with a stern look on his face. I slip it in my pocket and decide to put my earbuds in my bag. As soon as I finish zipping my bag, out of the corner of my eye I see someone sit next to me. Assuming it's Alex, I look up. This wasn't Alex, this was a god.

[Hey guys! I'm going to try to update this once a week. This is my first "proper" fanfiction I guess you could say... But I hope it's good enough!
