You froze. Kao squeaked and hid his face in his sweater. Alfred stood still in fear.
"W-who are you?" You stuttered.
"Hoo?" The figure stepped forward. He was a tall purple cat. He looked very unhealthy and undernourished. He was wearing a dirty, tattered lab coat, he also had one blue and one green eye.
"Um are you a traveler? Or what?" You asked trying to understand what "Hoo" meant.
All he did was stare at you. You could feel his eyes burn into your soul.
He suddenly snapped out of his daze when he saw Kao.
"Moo cow!" The stranger shouted with a big grin As he reached out and petted Kao.
Kao shuddered and let out a terrified squeak. He tried to back up and shoo the strangers hand away, but ended up hiding his head in his sweater.
"Hey! Stop that! He's not a cow!" Alfred said bitterly. He slapped the strangers hand away.
"Ouch! Don't hurt Mystery! Mystery wasn't hurting you, hoo!" The stranger whined.
"Mystery? Is that...you?" You asked. He did have a strange way of talking.
"Hee hoo! Yes! That's me! I'm doctor mystery!" Mystery shouted as he struck a dramatic pose.
"Soooo do you... um live here? Or like...what?" You asked.
Mystery nodded.
"This is my hospital!"
Alfred stepped back and muttered something under his breath. He looked disgusted.
"Fucking... cmon guys, we're getting out of here. Let's go." Alfred insisted in a cold tone. He tried to walk pass Mystery, but failed.
"Get out of my way. We want to leave, now!" Alfred tried to push mystery out of his way, but mystery didn't budge.
"Hoo...it's been so long since I seen people before...and now I'm going to get left all alone again? Hoo...." Mystery sighed and lowered his ears.
You felt something tear in your heart. You couldn't just leave this poor guy here alone, possibly hurt or sick.
"Hey guys? I think we could spare a moment more, right?" You suggested.
Alfred quickly turned his head around to face you.
"We are NOT staying here one more minute! We are leaving now. That's final." Alfred declared. He sure was acting weird.
Mystery looked at you. He made big puppy eyes and whimpered a bit.
"Nahh come on! I'd like to stay here a bit longer! Pleaseeeee?" You whined, trying to convince Alfred to stay a litter longer.
"Ugh Fine! Just a LITTLE bit longer. But that's all!" Alfred crossed his arms and sighed.
Kao, who was curled up in a ball, stood up and tugged your arm.
"A-are you sure? We really don't know this person and-" you interrupted Kao.
"Kao, this person is all alone and possibly sick! The right thing to do is keep him company for a bit, right?" You whispered over to Kao.
"Hmmm... your right! That's the right thing to do! Let's go spend some time!" Kao jumped up excitedly.
"Alrighty! Let's go have some fun! Let me take you to the drawing room!" Mystery shouted as he skipped out of the room while you and Kao followed behind mystery while, Alfred slowly trailed behind you looking very angered.
Mystery skipped through the halls and finally reached a door with a paper on it. It was labeled "drawing room" in messy handwriting.
"Come in friends!" Mystery opened the door and gestured you to enter the room.
You stepped in the room to be greeted with tons of papers blank and used all scattered on the floor, along with some crayons.
"Well this is a cool room" you said as you looked at the mess.
"Hee hoo! Drawing time!" Mystery shouted as he got down on his knees and started to draw.
Kao jumped next to Mystery and started to draw as well.
"Fucking..."
You heard Alfred muttered under his breath as he took a seat on the floor.
Something about Alfred behavior scared you. He's never acted like this before something about him acting like this was strange. Very strange.
