After a few days, Boomer and Bubbles talked to each other a lot more. Bubbles, however, was afraid that she was gonna gain even more enemies if Boomer kept talking to her.

She had noticed a lot of girls sending evil glares towards her. Of course, she was used to this already but the number seemed to have increased.

"Today we will be doing something a little different." The art teacher, Mrs. Foulds began, causing Bubbles to snap out of her thoughts. "I will put you in pairs and you will have to draw each other."

Hearing this, the class groaned.

"Now, now. . . I'm sure this will be fun, trust me." Mrs. Foulds claimed. "Here is what we're gonna do to determine the partners; you will each grab one of these straws. But here's the catch, each straw has a colour at the bottom! Find the person with the same colour and. . . that's your partner!"

The students carefully listened to the instructions and nodded. They each went to the teacher's front desk and took turns grabbing straws.

"I got purple!" A girl, named Emma, exclaimed. "Boomer, what did you get?!"

"Yellow!" "Pink!" "No, he got orange!" "No! He got red!" "Green!" "I'm telling you it's brown!" Random students kept yelling out.

After finally making it through the line, Bubbles grabbed a random straw and saw that it was blue. Before she could say anything, Boomer appeared right behind her.

"Finally I found you, Bubbles. I was trapped in a whole of people asking me which colour I-" He stopped. "Say. . . what colour did you get?"

Bubbles showed him her straw. "Blue." She replied.

Boomer grinned, "Oh, so what do we know? I got blue too, which means. . ."

Bubbles stared at him, completely speechless. "W-We're partners. . ." She stuttered out. Boomer's smile dropped; he was happy that he got partnered with someone like Bubbles but. . . he just couldn't understand why she reacted this way towards him.

He frowned at her, "You sound as if it's a bad thing. . ."

Bubbles's face softened, "You don't understand, it's not you. It's. . ." She hesitated. "It's them." She pointed towards Boomer's group of fangirls, who were glaring daggers at her.

Boomer raised an eyebrow, "Um. . . I'm not getting what you're saying." He looked at the group of fangirls Bubbles had pointed at. "Why should we care about what other people think? Especially them?"

Bubbles looked at Boomer and saw that he was staring deep into her baby blue eyes, waiting for her answer. She gulped. "You see-"

"Okay, everyone! I will start writing down names on the board of the pairs. Hopefully everybody found theirs." Mrs. Foulds said as she started writing down names. "Boomer, who's your partner?"

Boomer smiled brightly, "It's Bubbles, Ma'am." He replied.

A few of the students started to protest and tried to convince the teacher to switch Boomer with anyone, but Bubbles.

Boomer heard of a few of the whispers and protests, and decided to ignore them. He didn't understand why everyone disliked Bubbles so much. There was a particular comment that caught his attention though. 'Bubbles. . . a psycho? No way.' He thought to himself. 'She's like the sweetest person I've ever met.'

"So. . . ready for lunch?" Boomer asked Bubbles as they walked out of the classroom together. They both had nearly all of their classes together.

"Y-Yeah. . . just need to stop by my locker." Bubbles responded. "Why do you ask?" They ate their lunches at separate tables with their siblings everyday, so Bubbles was kind of curious about his question.

Boomer smiled, "Just wanted to invite you and your sisters over to our table." He simply said.

Bubbles brought her hand up to her chest. She felt her heart rate speed up. 'Why do I feel like this all of a sudden?' She asked herself in thought.

"Bubbles?"

Bubbles suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as she saw a hand being waved at her face. She was about to decline Boomer's offer when he stopped her. "No, you're not allowed to decline. It wasn't even a question."

Bubbles didn't even get the chance to say something, or anything, because Boomer was already gone.

She sighed. "When everyone sees me eating with him. . . I'm doomed."
