"Random thoughts about you hurt."

Chan held Jeongin's hand as he led them up the stairs. Jeongin rubbed his eyes tiredly and almost tripped over a stair, letting out an 'oof' when he managed to catch himself.

Chan laughed at the small boy and Jeongin pouted, but was too tired to retaliate.

Chan opened his bedroom door and walked to his bed, letting the younger of the two lay down first with him following suit.

Jeongin made grabby hands at Chan and the latter cooed as he brought Jeongin into his arms. Chan held Jeongin to his chest and the younger smiled as he closed his eyes. He snuggled into Chan and let out a content sigh.

"Thank you, Channie." The redhead said. Chan kissed the top of Jeongin's head, "What for?"

"For helping me. For giving me a reason to keep going, to try."

Chan looked at Jeongin with a soft smile and watched as he fell asleep, emitting hushed snores.

Chan looked at all of Jeongin's features and couldn't believe anyone would want to harm the innocent boy.

Chan brought his hand to Jeongin's face and caressed it. He placed a soft kiss on his forehead and leaned back onto bed. Chan intertwined their hands and fell asleep soon, smiling as he hoped he could see the younger in his dreams as well.

Ms. Bang walked into her house, tired from the long day of work and disappointed she couldn't see her son.

She slipped off her heals and sat her purse down. She went to the kitchen and smiled at the container of food that had a sticky note saying 'for you mom. i love you.'

She walked up the stairs quietly and peered into her son's room. Her eyes widened seeing someone else in bed with her son.

She walked closer and noticed it was a boy with red hair.

She remembers Chan talking about a boy with red hair. Jeongin?

Ms. Bang smiled as she noticed their intertwined hands and the smile on Chan's face even when he slept.

She shook her head and walked back down the stairs. "At least he's getting sleep," she muttered to herself.

The next morning, the two boys were woken up by Chan's alarm. Jeongin groaned and gripped onto Chan. Chan reached over the boy and grabbed his phone, cutting the alarm off.

Jeongin looked up to Chan, "Can we skip today? It's Friday and I don't feel like going to school. I need a mental health break."

Chan smiled and nodded after placing a kiss on the younger's forehead.

Jeongin smiled brightly and snuggled into Chan. "Channie.. I'm scared," the boy muttered as his face was stuffed in Chan's shirt.

Chan's eyebrows furrowed, "Why is that?"

Jeongin moved his head and looked at Chan's window blankly, "My dad. What if he gets angry? What if something goes wrong?"
