Chapter 10: SCANDAL

Vanessa's POV

Everything is going the way it should be until one night. I wasn't in the house and I'm in the club partying with my old friends. We danced and got drunk and I remembered one thing and that Zac didn't even know I'm here. I mean I could just tell him once he got home from his shoot in Jamaica. I danced and danced till I literally got worn out. I drank one last glass of wine and then I got dizzy like the whole world is spinning in front of me and my vision turned black. I felt someone carrying me to a bed and I knew that it was Zac.. or so I thought.

The morning I woke up in a comfortable bed, I flutter my eyes and I saw a different view. I'm in a different room. I sat up in my bed and I was naked. What the... I said under my breath. Tears started forming in my eyes and fear is the only thing I can feel. I got up and I saw a used protection in the floor. I can feel a slight relief from seeing that, I grabbed my clothes, got dressed and I head out the door. 

While I was on the taxi, I tried my best to remember every single detail from last night. I felt scared and lost, until on my thoughts was, what if Zac founds out? I don't know what will happen but he will not know anything from this. I cheated on him. I didn't meant to.  I was harassed. I was drunk and I experienced the same way Austin did. Oh My Gosh! I was so scared my mind felt like it was lost in the darkness.

When Zac came home a few weeks ago, I was so quiet and I didn't talk to him that much until he notices it. Babe, Is there something wrong with you? He asked. Nothing. I answered. I thought everything would be alright until this very day. 

Zac's POV

Vanessa's been acting strange lately and I was curious about it. I was scrolling on my social media, while Vanessa was taking a shower. I was terrified on what I saw, a video of a woman who seems to be asleep while this guy was taking advantage of her. I was paralyzed in fear when I saw the woman's face. It was Vanessa. Tears dropped down my cheeks. How could she never told me that this happened. I couldn't feel anything but anger and sadness. When she came out of the shower, I immediately wiped my tears and bravely come up to her. 

Once I saw her I showed her the video and tears fell down her cheeks. Zac, I-I'm sorry. she said. I was angry at her. I took my phone and started packing my bags. She tried to stop me but I kept on packing. I walked to the door. She closed it and looked straight into my eyes. I can see fear and sadness. Fear that this would happen and sadness that this is happening. She whispered I'm sorry many times but I shook my head. 

Vanessa, you couldn't have told me that happened. But you didn't. You kept it from me. You could've said it early and this wouldn't happen, Why didn't you told me. Why did you kept it from me? Why did you even went to that bar without letting me know? You kept all of it, Vanessa. I said.  

I just need space. I added. I took her away from the door and I slammed it hard. I got in to my car and saw her running for me. I drove faster away from this place. I went back to my apartment and started sobbing and taking my anger out, like there's no tomorrow. All I can feel is pain and anger. 

Vanessa's POV

I ran. As he continued to run away all I can think of is that I still need him and I love him. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I fell down my knees and started sobbing. It's all my fault, if I just didn't got drunk that night my life won't be like this. My life is over. The video was posted and It's going around like crazy. I rushed to my house and locked myself inside my room and started crying. The pain won't stop and the tears kept on rolling down my cheeks. I sobbed and sobbed, until my phone started to ring. It's Ashley. 

Hello. I said weakly. OMG! Are you ok? Have you seen the video? I am so sorry! She continued. I'm going to your house just wait for me, okay? She added. As the call ended, I cuddled in my pillow as more and more tears started falling down my cheeks. A few minutes later, I heard a knock on my door. Nessa, It's Ashley, Please let me in.. she said. I unlocked the door and I let Ashley come in. She hugged me hard that I can't even breathe but that is what I need right now. 

She took a towel and started to wipe my tears. Where's Zac? she asked. I didn't respond. She knew something was wrong. After a few minutes of silence. Millions of questions grew in my head that one of them just got out. Am I a bad person? I asked. She looked at me shocked. No, of course not Nessa. She replied. But, I broke Zac's heart. I saw it in his eyes. On how he's in so much pain. I saw him drove away, Ash. I said. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. Shhh... She said. Maybe he just needs time to cool off. She added. She went straight to the kitchen to get some water and offered it to me. 

She left me alone in my room for me to rest. The morning after, I woke up, from the sound coming from my phone. It's from my sister, Stella. She said that she'll come by to talk to me. I've been crying all night that my eyes are sore. I head downstairs and found Ashley watching the news. I looked in horror as I saw Zac's face on the screen. He got involved in an accident last night. Tears fell down my cheeks. Some guy shot him. I was paralyzed. I fell down. Ashley, struggled to pick me up and carry me to the couch. She started telling me things but all in my mind was that, I couldn't hear anything, until I lost my consciousness.
