At exactly 12:01.98723 o'clock Lissana made it back home. She entered the building and went up the long wind of stairs to her room. Setting the book down she sat on her bed and contemplated the occurances over the past years since she had met Silvan.
A secret portal. A misplaced power. A deadly war. Everything fit together as the puzzle pieces came to make a picture. A beautiful picture... or a horrid one?
Lissana looked at her hands, her destiny and fate intertwined in them. She could change the outcome... but one wrong move, one step away from the precision she had always kept, and this world and the other would forever be fated to destruction.
She has kept tedius track of everything and that's how she knew... today was the day. She fell back onto her bed and closed her eyes. In 6.234 seconds everything would change.

She held her breath as the change took place.
A harsh banging on her front door commenced and she jumped out of bed. She knelt beside and yanked the backpack out from underneath. She stood with it and crammed the book in. Zipping it up, she opened the window.
A strand of hair was all that could be seen when he door was smashed open. She fell. Down from the second story she had jumped out. Landing on the wagon full of laundry that always passed down that alley and under her window at that exact time she managed to survive without a scratch.
She took a deep breath and calculated everything she had already devised as she hopped out of the wagon followed by a few curses of the rider and chased by the creatures draped in black.
Horrified screams were heard from behind as she ran through the crowded streets. She'd only last for three minutes and 8.276 seconds. So she had to make it in that time.
The grand tree at the center of the town towered over the buildings and she could see it's shadow not too far off. She was running out of time. She leaped into the dark outline and mumbled under her breath as she disappeared.
Lissana opened her eyes in the new world. She had passed through the realms and was now in the center of a deserted battlefield. She quickly covered her nose as the stench of decay met her. Blood soaked her shoes and she stepped out of the puddle in disgust and brief horror till she gathered herself.
She wandered away from the battle field till she found a place where the plants weren't killed from the cloud of death. She sat down and pulled out a map she had been creating over the years with the knowledge given to her.
"So... this is The Pit of Destruction..." she said to herself. She knew by using that portal this would be where she ended up... but she couldn't imagine the scene laid out before her.
A darkness swam about the land and a mist of rot filled the air. She could barely bear the smell and her breathing was slowed. She packed up her map and stood with the promise of leaving this place guiding her speed... and the terror of possibly walking into a worse place holding her down.
She hassened towards a valley that was green with life. Once far from the death she filled her lungs with a clean air and continued a little less urgently.
"You!" a cry was heard from behind and Lissana turned towards it to see a ragged old woman pointing a bony finger at her, "You're the evil one."
Lissana didn't move or answer the woman.
"You're killing this land. It's your fault," she bent slowly and tore a clump of grass out of the ground, "Go away!" she yelled and threw the ball.
Lissana watched as the dirt fell short of her. "Go back home," she said dryly, "You have no knowledge of me."
The woman cowered and Lissana turned on her way towards a wooded path easily carved through the trees and paved with brightly colored leaves.
"You there..." she announced towards a tree, "What's your name and what buiness do you have with me?"
"Name? Do you really care about my name?" a boy with black wings came from behind the tree. His clothes and hair were black. and he stared at her with dark blue eyes.
Lissana looked over his appearance and nodded, "True, I don't care... Are you Luzawon or Levitan?"
"Neither," he answered.
Lissana still didn't relax, "Your purpose to being here?"
He slowly lifted his arm that had a tattered sleeve covering it. He pointed at her, "To meet you."
"Reason?" she asked.
"The opposite of who you already know," he said.
"Silvan..." Lissana said with a sigh, "So you're the dark half..."
"You did enter through the dark gate," he said and returned his arm to his side, "Of course I would meet you."
Lissana nodded and crossed her arms, "In that case.. I now care. Name?"
"Doyle," he said.
"I'll remember it," Lissana smiled, "So you're the dark half..."
"That is correct," Doyle confirmed seemingly to Lissana's delight.
"I'm glad you were so easy to find," she said and started walking foreward, "I suppose you already know what is next?"
Doyle followed with a depressed sigh, "Yes... sadly I do."
Lissana and Doyle continued into the forest while Lissana softly sang to herself as the black consumed them,
"Child of the Darkness.
Child of the Black Night.
Waiting in the Shadows.
Watching for the Day Light.
Continue on your Journey.
Always on your Mark.
Slowly stepping forward...
Child of the Dark."
