Silvan glared at Doyle and turned his head away from Lissana with a frown, "So... You chose to go with Doyle..." He pouted and whined as his aura changed, "Lissy, I wanted to bring you!"
"Silvan, I keep telling you. The precision needed to be exact. If I had gone with you a day earlier my plan wouldn't work and if I had gone with you earlier today then the Levitans wouldn't have seen me leave and they would still be in my realm," Lissana sighed. She found Silvan's carefree attitude mildly annoying. Although she understood why he was like that some things still bother you even when you understand them.
Doyle kept his eyes away from Silvan and continued looking at the trees around them. Doyle lived in the Dark Woods and Silvan, appropriately, lived in the Light Woods.
"Hey, hey, why are you ignoring me?" Silvan smiled and waved his hand in front of Doyle's face.
"I hate you," Doyle answered calmly and Silvan's happy act flinched into a glare for a second before he brought out a pout.
"That's not nice! Lissy! Make him be nice!" Silvan pointed at Doyle and looked at Lissana.
"Cease," she said to Silvan causing him to glare once more and sit down on a log.
Doyle glanced at him for less than a second with a tiny smile before going over to Lissana and kneeling by her, "Planning?"
Lissana nodded as she looked at the map, "We have to find out a way to reach the Pearly Pass and enter the Shirehaunt Mountains without drawing attention to ourselves when we pass through this battlefield," she pointed at an area on the map.
"Yet going around would take too long and the timing would be ruined," Doyle added.
Lissana nodded a smile tugging at her lips. Doyle understood simply without asking stupid questions. "We have to make it to the peak of Mount Hilf on the night when the five moons align. That is in seven days. It's a five day trip to go straight and an 8 day trip to go around. I believe going straight through would slow us down by 25 hours 38 minutes and 43.2873 seconds... but we'd still make it in time."
Doyle stood and fanned out his wings, "I understand. I could carry you over a good portion of the field... but..." he glanced at Silvan who caught on and was glaring with fire burning in his eyes.
"No, we all have to go together..." Lissana said while she looked over at Silvan whose ears perked at her words, "Sadly," she added causing them to fall back down and his tail to go limp.
That night the stars twinkled above as the small group huddled together for warmth. Lissana was sandwiched in between her two companions with Silvan clinging to her side sleeping peacefully with a smile and Doyle covering her with a large, black wing while resting on his bent arm. Lissana went over the plan in her head several times while she mindlessly pulled her fingers through Silvan's silken hair. After she felt confident with the rather reckless plan she drifted into sleep.
The morning sun woke Lissana and she sat up groggily. "Good morning!" Silvan sang.
"You're too happy..." Doyle grumbled as he hid in the shadows of the trees with his wings wrapped around him.
"It's a beautiful morning! With a lovely sunrise! And Lissy's first day here! Of course it's a happy time!" Silvan grinned as if he enjoyed not only what he listed but also the fact most of these things seemed to bother Doyle.
Lissana yawned and slowly stood up. She glanced at the sunrise noting that is was beautiful in her head but not outwardly showing it had any signifigance to her. "Silvan, Doyle, for the plan to work I have concluded that we may have to fight on either the Levitan's side or the Luzawon's. This will give us some allies and lessen our enemies. It will also prove to save us around 13 hours... without more information of the battlefield I'm unable to be more precise than that."
"I'd like to fight on the Levitan side..." Doyle started.
"No way! The Luzawon's!" Silvan protested with a pout.
"I've already decided to aid the Luzawons since they are the 'light' side there's less chance of being betrayed or looked at as the enemy by the people we're helping."
Doyle frowned but complied...glaring slightly only when Silvan sent a triumphant and arrogant smirk his way.
"We only have three hours 24 minutes and 12.753 seconds till we have to go, so in that time we should gather something for breakfast," Lissana said as she got her backpack.
"I saw some wild mushrooms last night," Doyle stated, "Also some wild greens."
Silvan held out his hand and a glowing white flame burst forth, "I'm sure I can catch some fish from the lake a little ways off and we can roast them."
Lissana nodded and smiled, "Sounds good."
